Armed Forces Medical College Admission 2021 : Application Starts Feb 23
Admission Test Scheduled On April 9 Suspended Due To Covid-19
First year MBBS student admission process for session 2020-2021 at Armed Forces Medical College run by Bangladesh Armed Forces and five Army Medical Colleges begun on February 23. Application submission continued till March 12.
Admission Test Suspended For Now :
Though the written test was scheduled to be held on April 9, it has been suspended by the authority due to the situation centering the covid-19 pandemic. The fresh date will be announced later in due time, added the notice.
Application Requirements : Aspirants have to meet the following basic requirements to be eligible for application :
1. For AMC Cadet Category : Passed SSC or equivalent exams in 2017/2018 and HSC or equivalent in 2019/2020 with combined GPA 10.00.
2. For AFMC Cadet & 5 Army Medical College Cadet Category : Passed SSC or equivalent exams in 2017/2018 and HSC or equivalent in 2019/2020 with min combined GPA 9.00. For tribal quota candidates, the GPA can be min 8.00 but must have min GPA 3.5 in both SSC or HSC or their equivalent examinations.
3. For any candidates under any category, HSC or equivalent exam GPA in Biology subject must be min 3.5.
4.The minimum height for male applicants must be 1.63 meter (5 feet 4 inch) and for female that’s 1.57 meter (5 feet 2 inch).
Application Time : MBBS Admission seekers will be able to submit their applications from 10 a.m. February 23. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. March 12. Applicants will be able to submit application fee till 4 p.m. March 14.
MBBS Admission Test Format : Candidates will be assessed based on 300 marks in total. Of the marks, 75 will come from SSC or equivalent exam results, 125 from HSC or equivalent exam GPA and the rest 100 from the MCQ type written test itself.
It should be noted that each wrong answer will have .25 mark deducted. And the minimum pass marks is 40 out of 100 in total.
MCQ Test Marks Breakdown : 100 marks MCQ test will consist of 30 each from Physics, Chemistry & Biology, 5 each from English and General Knowledge.
