BOU (Bangladesh Open University) LLB (Honors) admission circular for academic year 2023-2024 is open with application period February 7 to March 15, 2024.
The four year-long LLB program is under the School of Social Science, Humanities & Language at the Bangladesh Open University. The study center for the program is Regional Centre (RC), Dhaka, BOU.
BOU LLB Admission 2024 Requirements :
Interested persons will need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
- Minimum second class or division with 50 % marks under division assessment system or GPA 3.50 out of scale 5.0 in both SSC & HSC or their equivalent exams.
- Students from any disciplines—–Science, Commerce or Humanities—are eligible for application.

BOU LLB Program Admission Test Method :
Bangladesh Open University LLB (honors) admission test consists of 100 marks MCQ type questions. The marks distribution is as follows : 25 marks each for Bangla, English and 50 marks for General Knowledge (25 for Bangladesh Affairs & the rest for International Affairs).
The admission test pass mark is minimum 40 with 40 % marks obtaining in each segment—Bangla, English & General Knowledge.

Publication of List of Selected Candidates for Admission Test : April 2
Admission Test Seat Plan : April 30 on the university website (www.bou.ac.bd)
Admission Test Dates & Place : May 10 from 10 to 11 am at BOU Main Campus, Board Bazar, Gazipur.
Written Test Results : May 14, 2024.
Viva Exam Dates & Place : May 23 from 9 to 3 pm at BOU Main Campus, Board Bazar, Gazipur.
Subject-wise Merit List : May 28, 2024.
Admission Period : June 3 to 22, 2024.
Tentative Class Commencement Date : June 29, 2024.
Documents Required for Admission :
During admission, successful candidates will submit the following documents :
- Two (2) copies of fresh passport size color photographs.
- Attested photocopies of Certificates & Mark-sheets of SSC & HSC or their equivalent examinations.
- Attested copies of NID or online birth registration.
BOU LLB (Honors) Program Features :
The four-year program consists of forty courses in total (40) with 120 credit hours total—3 credits per course.
Every academic year has two semesters—duration of each is six months. There are five (5) courses for each semester. Every semester has final exam with 75% attendance mandatory for each course.
Registration for the program lasts for eight (8) years to the maximum.
For the LLB program, the authority will enroll students in two sections—Section-A for regular students & Section B for job holders. There are 60 seats available for each single section.
For students of Section-A, classes will be held on Mondays to Thursdays while for Section-B, students will have classes only on Fridays & Saturdays at BOU Dhaka Regional Centre.
Regulars exams of each section will take place on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
BOU LLM Program Course Fee :
For the four-year LLM program at the Bangladesh Open University, students have to pay Tk.12,310 in total per semester. Of the fees, Tk. 9,450 as five course fees, Tk.1,500 as exam fees and the rest goes for other things.
