Health Ministry O, A Level Equivalence Certificate Notice 2023-24 : Application Period Dec 28 to Jan 10

Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Ministry of Health, Bangladesh invites application for ‘O’ Level & ‘A’ Level exam’s SSC & HSC equivalence Certificate. To this end, application process has begun December 28 with deadline January 10, 2024.

Interested Bangladeshi students intending to take part in MBBS/Dental admission test for year 2023-2024 need to apply for equivalence certificate over the period.

DGME O, A Level Equivalence Certification Process :

For Equivalence Certificate, concerned Bangladeshi students who passed ‘O’ & ‘A’ level need to contact Medical Education Wing, DGME (Room No. 204, 2nd floor, Old Building) along with application. They need to attach the following documents with application form :

1. O-Level/A Level or equivalent exam’s original mark-sheets and attested photocopies.
2. Attested photocopies of NID/Birth Certificates/Passport (where necessary).
3. Two (2) copies of fresh passport size photographs.
4. Bank Draft or Pay Order of Tk.2000 with Rupali Bank PLC, Mohakhali Branch in favor of Director (Medical Education), Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Mohakhali, Dhaka.

Conditions To Fulfill for MBBS/Dental Exam Participation :

MBBS/Dental admission test hopefuls Bangladeshi students need to meet the following conditions :

1. SSC equivalent ‘O’ Level exam pass in Science group.
2. A-Level exam pass in science group with Biology, Chemistry & Physics. Notably, minimum Grade Point 4.00 in Biology (70% marks out of 100).
3. SSC/O-Level or equivalent exam passing year 2020/2021 and HSC/A-Level or equivalent exam passing year 2022 or 2023. Notably, they have passed SSC/O-Level or equivalent exam within the previous two (2) academic years with relation of HSC/A-Level exam passing year.
4. O-Level and A-Level mark-sheets must be attested or verified by Head or assigned official of relevant educational institution.

MBBS/Dental first year honors admission process for academic year 2023-2024 is set to begin from January 11 and continues till January 23. Aspirants can apply online over the period with admission test scheduled to take place on February 9, 2024. The circular to this end is expected to be out early January, 2024.
