Join Air Force As Officer Cadet 2024 : Application Deadline March 30

Bangladesh Air Force DE-2024-B & SPSSC 2024-B courses circular is open to join as Officer Cadet with application period January 28 to March 30, 2024.

As per the circular, the air force will recruit Bangladeshi male & female in different wings such as Logistic, Administration (Civil Engineering), ATC/Meteorology, ADWC, Legal wing on short-term (DE 2024B) and in Education Wing (English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry & Psychology) under special short-term commission course.

Air Force Officer Cadet Requirements :

Interested persons will need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application against different wings :

Logistic :

1. GPA 4.50 in both SSC & HSC or their equivalent exams in Science Group with GPA (grade) minimum ‘A’ in Physics & Mathematics in both the exams. Or for English Medium students, minimum ‘B’ grade in at least five (5) subjects including Physics & Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level. And minimum ‘B’ Grade in Physics & Mathematics at GCE ‘A’ Level exam.
2. BSc in Leather Engineering degree with CGPA minimum 3.00, obtained from any recognized university.

Admin (Civil Engineering) :

1. GPA must be 4.50 in both SSC & HSC or their equivalent exams in Science Group without fourth (4th) subject along with GPA (grade) minimum ‘A’ in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in both the exams. Or for English Medium students, minimum ‘B’ grade in at least five (5) subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level. And minimum ‘B’ Grade in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at GCE ‘A’ Level exam.
2. BSc degree in Civil Engineering degree with CGPA minimum 3.00, obtained from any recognized university.

Legal Wing :

Honors & Master’s degree in Law with CGPA minimum 3.0 out of scale 4.0 each,  obtained from any known university or institute.

Education Wing :

1. GPA must be minimum 4.0 in both SSC & HSC or their equivalent exams.
2. Post-graduation with bachelor (honors) in the subjects of English/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Psychology with CGPA minimum 3.0, obtained from any university.

ATC/Meteorology/ADWC :

2. GPA 4.50 in both SSC & HSC or their equivalent exams in Science Group with GPA (grade) minimum ‘A’ in Physics & Mathematics in both the exams. Or
3. For those from English Medium, having minimum ‘B’ grade in at least five (5) subjects including Physics & Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level. And minimum ‘B’ grade in Physics & Mathematics at GCE ‘A’ Level exam.
4. BSc degree including Mathematics or Physics as read-subject with GPA minimum 3.0 out of scale 4.0, obtained from any approved university.

Common Requirements :

Aspirants will also meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :

1. Bangladeshi citizen with marital status being both married and unmarried.
2. For male, height is 64 inches while it is 62 inches for female applicants.
3. Weight according to height & age.
4. Age being in between 20 to 30 years (DE 2024-B Course) as on June 24, 2024 while it is in between 21 to 35 years for SPSSC 2024-B course as on the same date.

Air Force Officer Cadet (DE 2024B) Circular 2024 In Brief :

Air Force Officer Cadet Selection Process :

The Officer Cadet selection process involves the following six (6) steps :

1. Primary Written Test (IQ, English & General Knowledge)

2. Primary Health Check-ups.

3. Primary Viva Exam

4. Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB/SSB)

5. Final Medical Test by Central Medical Board

6. Cadet Final Selection Board (CFSB).

Written Test Dates :

Initial written test will take place on February 25 & 28, on March 3,6,18, 19, 27 & 31, 2024 involving English, General Knowledge & IQ.

Attention : Carrying of any types of electronics devices such as mobile phone, calculator, watches etc. and bags to the exam center is prohibited. So refrain from carrying any of those items.

Exam Venue :

The exam will take place at Bangladesh Air Force Information & Selection Center, Old Airport, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1215.

Notably, candidates must reach the exam venue by 8 am on the specified dates. However, during the holy month of Ramadan, they have to get to the center by 9 am in the morning.

Papers to Submit During Primary Written Test :

Applicants will need to carry the following documents to the exam venue with admit card :

1. Twelve (12) copies of passport size and four (4) copies of stamp size fresh photographs.
2. Attested photocopies of testimonials & mark sheets and provisional certificates of all academic qualifications.
3. Nationality certificate/Character Certificate/Documents related to Marital Status & Permanent address issued from respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor or Chairman/Ward Councilor or first class gazette officer. Notably, the certificates must contain the mobile number of applicant’s identifier.
4. Character Certificate from the Head of applicant’s current or last-attended educational institution.
5. Attested photocopy of Birth Registration or NID.
6. Attested copies of Equivalence Certificate issued from the relevant authority, applicable to those with foreign degrees or GCE ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels certificates.

Benefits for Air Force Officer Cadet :

During the training period of six (6) months, trainees will receive a monthly salary of Tk.10,000 only. Upon successful completion of the training period, they will get attractive remuneration & other allowances.

After the period of successful training, trainees will join the force as ‘Direct Flying Officer’ under the DE 2024B course and direct ‘Flight Lieutenant’ under the special course of SPSSC 2024-B. Notably, the tentative date of joining the service is June 24, 2024.
