Air Force 90 BAFA Course Circular : Apply Deadline April 24

Bangladesh Air Force 90 BAFA Course circular is now open with deadline to apply online April 24, 2024. The tentative date to join the force is June 24, 2024.

90 BAFA Course Requirements : 

Interested youths need to meet the following qualities, among others, to be eligible for application :

Wing-wise Academic Requirements :

For GD (P) Wing :

CGPA minimum 4.50 in both SSC & HSC (their equivalents) examinations from Science background And minimum Grade ‘A’ in Physics and Mathematics.

For Logistics/ATC/ADWC/Meteorological Wings :

CGPA minimum 4.50 in both SSC & HSC (their equivalents) examinations from Science background And minimum Grade ‘A’ in Physics and Mathematics.

For Finance Wing :

CGPA minimum 4.50 in both SSC & HSC (their equivalents) examinations And minimum Grade ‘A’ in Mathematics/Accounting at both level of examinations.

For Admin Wing :

CGPA minimum 4.50 in both SSC & HSC (their equivalent) examinations from any group—-Science, Humanities and Business Studies.

Common Requirements :

1. Nationality must be Bangladeshi.
2. Unmarried, applicable for both male and female.
3. Age in between 16 years and a half to 22 years as on June 24, 2024.
4. SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams GPA must be minimum 4.5 with Mathematics/Accounting and Physics as subjects.

      5. Height : For male candidates, height is minimum 64 inches while it is minimum 64 inches (GD(P) & 62 inches for others for female applicants.

      6. Weight : It should be in line with height and age of applicants, both male and female.

      7. Chest : For male, chest measurement is minimum 32 inches with 2 inches on extension while it is 28 inches with 2 inches of extension for female applicants.

Notably, students who will be appearing in HSC Exams 2024 are also eligible for application.

Papers to Carry During Exam :

Applicants must carry the following documents, among others, to the exam venue along with properly filled application form :

1. Attested copies of all academic certificates (provisional), Testimonial and Mark-sheets.
2. Nationality Certificate and Character Certificate with marital status mentioned on these documents.
3. 12 copies of passport size and 4 copies of stamp size photographs which need to be attached by first class gazette officer and lab print.
4. Character certificate issued by Head of applicant’s current or last attended educational institutions.
5. For in-job or in-service applicants, permission or approval letter from due authority.
6. Attested photocopy of Birth Registration or National Identity Card (NID).

BAF Exam Center : 

Primary written test will take place at the following address, applicable for candidates from all divisions and districts :

Bangladesh Air Force Information and Selection Center, Old Airport, Tejgaon, Dhaka-1215. 

Here note that candidates have to reach the venue by eight (8) am in the morning.

BAFA Course Recruitment Process :

Recruitment process will follow these steps—-1. Primary Written Test : IQ, English, Mathematics & Physics; IQ, English and General Knowledge for Admin Wing Candidates only 2. Primary Health Check-up 3. Primary Oral Test 4. Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) 5. Final Health Check-up by Central Medical Board and 6. Cadet Final Selection Board (CFSB).

During the written day, all kinds of electronic devices such as mobile phone, calculator, watches and bags are prohibited from carrying to exam venue. 

Training & Commissioning :

Upon successful completion of three years of training at Bangladesh Air Force Academy including 10 week-long training at Bangladesh Military Academy, successful candidates will receive commissioning in the rank of ‘Flying Officer’.

During the training period, candidates will receive a monthly amount of Tk.10,000. Upon completion of training, they will be entitled to attractive salary and other allowances as per the existing compensation package.

In addition, one year after joining the service (in fact, upon being commissioned), they will get bachelor (honors) degree in Aeronautics under the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). 

Service Joining Date :

The tentative date for joining the service by the selected candidates is June 24, 2024.
