Bangladesh Army Sainik (Soldier) Trade-2 (Special Profession) job circular 2024 is open with application process beginning from March 14. And application deadline is April 5. Both male and female Bangladeshi citizens, aged between 17 to 20 years, are eligible for application. 

Under the Trade 2 (Special Profession) circular, Bangladesh Army will recruit people to the following professions– Cook (Mess), Cook (Unit), Cook (Hospital), Bandsman, Painter & Decorator and Painter.

Army Sainik Trade-2 Job Application Requirements :

Interested male and female citizens will need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :

Nationality : Bangladeshi citizens, both male and female. 

Education : SSC or equivalent like Madrasa/Technical/Open with GPA minimum 2.50. In case of Painter & Decorator and Painter professions, aspirants must have passed SSC or equivalent from Science group. 

Age : Between 17 to 20 years as on February 9, 2025. However, for the profession of cook, those with experiences will receive one (1) year waiver on age limit. 

Height : For male, it is at least 1.65 meter (5 feet 5 inches) while it is 1.55 meter (5 feet 1 inches) for female applicants.

Weight : For male, it is at least 49.90 KGs while it is 47 KGs for female candidates.

Marital Status : Being unmarried. Even widower or the divorcee are also ineligible for application.

Swimming : Necessary to know how to swim, at least for 50 meters, applicable to both male & female.

Army Sainik Trade-2 Job Circular 2024 In Brief : 

Sainik Application Process (Step-by-step Guide):

The whole application process has three parts. First two parts involve sending SMS to 16222 through any Teletalk Prepaid Mobile Number. And the third part relates to online application through this link (http://sainik.teletalk.com.bd).

Firstly, applicants need to send two separate SMS (one after one) through any Teletalk Prepaid Mobile Number. In the first SMS, they need to provide their academic information like SSC (or equivalent exam) board, roll number, passing year and District Code etc.

After first SMS, applicants will receive a return SMS from the Teletalk with a PIN Number mentioned in it. Then applicants will send a second SMS in which they will give their contact number (any mobile number) along with the PIN Number and their consent (YES).

Application Fee :

There is no application fee. However, applicants have to pay Tk.300, of which Tk.200 as Admission Test fee and Tk.100 as Registration fee. 

Here note that there is no charge or fee for the first SMS but applicants have to pay Tk.200 for the second SMS as Admission Test or Application Fee.

Therefore there needs to be more than Tk.300 in the mobile balance. Also note that first and second SMS must be sent to 16222 number.

Note : In case of female applicants, they have to type FSAINIK instead of SAINIK while sending first and second SMS.

Thirdly, after sending second SMS, applicants will get another SMS from the Teletalk in which they will have their User ID and Password.

With respective User ID and Password, applicants need to apply online by log-in into the following link : http://sainik.teletalk.com.bd.

Here note that all applicants must upload their fresh color photograph of 300 by 300 pixel. File size needs to be maximum 100 kb.

Application Period :

As mentioned above, application process is set to begin from March 14, 2024. And the deadline to apply is April 5, 2024. Aspirants need to apply in combination of SMS & Online. 

Application Fee :

The fee for application is Tk.300 (admission test fee Tk.200 & online registration fee Tk.100) per application. 

Admit Card Download :

Applicants have to print or download their admit cards just after application submission. If they fail to print admit card within seven (7) days of application submission, then they will not be able to do so ever!  So please download or print the admit card just after application submission!

Admission Test Date & Place :

The authority will notify candidates of admission test date & place by SMS from the Teletalk at least 72 hours ahead of their respective test.

Documents to Carry During Admission :

At the time of admission, all candidates must carry the following documents :

1. Original certificates/Mark-sheets of all academic exams. In case of photocopy of them, then they need to be attested, pending demonstration of them later.
2. Testimonial with permanent address & birth date on it, issued from head of the relevant educational institution.
3. Admit card of SSC or its equivalent exam.
4. Guardian’s approval letter which needs to have attestation from relevant chairman.
5. Original copy of Nationality Certificate by birth and character certificate issued from respective chairman.
6. Attested photocopy of birth registration and NID if available.
7. Attested photocopy of parents’ NID or Smart Card.
8. Six (6) copies of attested passport size and two (2) copies of stamp size fresh photographs with image background color blue or sky-color.

Army Sainik Selection Process :

 The recruitment process of Sainik involves the following steps—Medical Test, Physical Test, Written test (Bangla, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge & Mental Ability IQ) and interview. Technical Trade (TT) applicants will have to participate in practical exam on the related trade. 

Finally selected candidates for the rank of Sainik will go through a 36 weeks period of basic military training.
