RU Admission Circular 2023 : What Applicants Need To Know

RU admission circular for academic year of 2022-23 is now open with initial application period from March 15 to 27, 2023.
As per the circular, admission seekers can begin application from 12 noon March 15. The last time to apply is 12 pm March 27.

RU Admission Test Fee :
Rajshahi University initial application fee is Tk. 55 for one or multiple units. Only those who will be eligible or selected out of the first phase will need to pay additional fees of Tk. 1320 or 1,100 for final application.
For ‘A’ Unit (Humanities), final application fee is Tk.1320, for ‘B’ Unit (Business), it is Tk.1,100 while for ‘C’ Unit (Science), the fee is Tk. 1320.
Notably, RU first year (honors) admission test will take place in three units— A unit (Humanities), B unit for Business and C unit for science.
RU Admission Application Process :
Rajshahi University (RU) first year honors admission process involves two stage—Initial application and Final application. Initially aspirants fulfilling certain requirements will need to apply online over a period of time (March 15 to 27).
The authority will select a maximum 72,000 eligible students for each unit out of all applications unit-wise based on the results of HSC or its equivalent exams. Here note that applicants under different existing quotas will also be eligible to apply in the second phase.
From initial applications, maximum 72 thousand students per unit will be qualified for final admission test which is scheduled to take place on May 29, 30 and 31 this year.
As per the circular, admission test will take place in four shifts— 9 to 10 am, 11 to 12 noon, 1 to 2 pm and 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
Final Application Period :
Selected students from the initial application process will be able to apply from April 9 to May 2 in four phases to take part in admission test.
RU Application Requirements :
In general, students who passed HSC or equivalent exams in 2021 or 2022 will be eligible to apply upon fulfilling all basic requirements.
Students from humanities group will need to have combined GPA 7.0 with optional subject with minimum GPA 3.0 in both SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams.
Admission seekers from Business group will need to have minimum GPA 7.50 combining SSC and HSC but with GPA minimum 3.50 in either of the exams.
And science group students must have minimum GPA 8.00 with fourth subject and with GPA 3.50 in both the examination.

RU Admission Test Format :
As per the circular, each unit admission test will have 100 marks MCQ type question with the test duration being 1 (one) hour. There will be 80 questions in total involving each unit with negative marking of 1 (one) mark for every five wrong answers. The pass mark for the test is 40!.
