IBA DU BBA Admission 2024 : Circular Expected In March

IBA (DU) BBA admission circular for session 2023-2024 will be available in mid-March, 2024. As per circular, admission test will likely take place in early June. 

 

What are the requirements for IBA BBA?

Aspiring students need to meet the following requirements, among others, to be eligible for application for BBA 31st Batch Admission Test : 

For SSC Or HSC Level Aspirants :

Students who have fulfilled the stipulated requirements for making applications in different units of DU, and have passed SSC or equivalent exams during 2018-2021 and HSC or its equivalent exams in 2023 are eligible to apply. 

Besides, they must have GPA minimum 8.0 in SSC and HSC results combined with 4th subject. But they must hold at least GPA 3.5 in both the exams to be eligible for application.

What is the minimum GPA for IBA?

For IGCSE/O-Level & IAL/GCE A-Level or Equivalent level Students :

Students who have passed IGCSE/O-Level exam with at least 5 subjects including mathematics during 2018-2021 and IAL/GCE O-Level exams with at least 2 subjects (final result of at least one subject must have been published in 2023) are eligible for application.

And out of the seven subjects in IGCSE/O-Level and IAL/GCE A-Level, candidates should have achieved minimum  2 ‘A’ grades, 3 ‘B’ grades and 2 ‘C’ grades.

Urgent Note :

Those who has done registration already for admission into any units of DU—Ka, Kha, Ga, Gha or Cha—can make application directly for ‘IBA Unit’ admission. For that, they just need to do login with their username & passwords, deposit application fee of Tk.1250 and apply. The others need to apply following usual rules.

Attention :

1. If anyone who had appeared for any admission test of DU including IBA in 2022 or before, he or she will not be eligible to apply for this year’s admission test.

2 : Candidates from O-Level, A-Level and from other boards outside the country have to obtain ‘Equivalent Certificate’ from IBA before making application. For the certificate, relevant students need to visit the DU admission website at https://admission.eis.du.ac.bd

Those who have already received their ‘Equivalent Certificate’ while applying for other units of DU, need not apply for the certificate anew.

IBA BBA Eligibility For Foreign Candidates :

Candidates of other nationality with a score of at least 1265 out of 1600 in SAT Reasoning Test (with at least 600 in Math and 575 in Reading & Writing) may get exemption from Written Assessment Test but they must appear for Communication Test.

Application Period :

Following the publication of the circular, online application for IBA BBA 32st Batch will continue for a period of time to be mentioned in the circular. 

Application Fee :

The fee for application is Tk.1250 with online processing fees and bank service charge. The period for fee submission is the same as that of application submission.

Admit Card Download Time :

As per the circular, candidates will be able to download their admission test admit cards over a period of time.

Admission test of IBA BBA of the University of Dhaka for academic year 2022-23 took place on May 5 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

IBA BBA Selection Process :

All Bangladeshi applicants must take the admission test. The test has two components: written and communication. The Written Test assesses the applicants’ aptitudes in : Language Mathematics, and Analytical ability.

To qualify in the Written Test, an applicant must obtain a minimum qualifying score in each of the above areas. Applicants will be selected for the Communication Test on the basis of their performance in the Written Test. The final selection for admission will be based on the scores obtained by an applicant in the Written Test and the Communication Test.

Final Selection & Registration :

The final selection for admission will be based on scores obtained by an applicant in the Written Test and the Communication Test. Selected candidates should obtain the prescribed University admission form from the BBA Program Office and submit the completed form along with four passport-size and one stamp-size photograph and other documents as outlined in the form within the stipulated time to the BBA Program Office. Candidates who have completed the above formalities will then pay the requisite fees as determined by IBA.

IBA BBA Admission Test 2023 Final Results : 

 

IBA BBA Admission Date (Student Information Form Fill-up) :

The authority is asking the selected candidates to visit https://admission.eis.du.ac.bd to fill up the Online Student Information Form from June 21 to June 25, 2023.

In order to complete other necessary formalities regarding BBA Program admission, the BBA authority also asks the candidates to report to the BBA Program Office from July 4 to July 5, 2023 from 9 pm to 4 pm.

As part of the admission process, candidates must carry the following documents :

1. Original Admit Card.
2. Original copies of all academic credentials such as Grade Sheets/Transcripts, Certificates & Testimonials along with a copy of each document.

Earlier online application process for IBA BBA admission for the year of 2022-2023 begun from March 31 and ended on 3 pm April 18, 2023. As per the circular, admission test took place on May 5, 2023.

Later on May 23, the written part of the Communication Assessment involving all selected candidates from admission test, held on May 5, took place. For that, the authority was advising the candidates to report at the IBA Exam Hall by 7:30 am.
