First year BSc in Physiotherapy admission circular of National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) for year 2020-2021 has been published with application process having begun from April 17, 2021.

Important Notice 1 :

Some 80 examinees are provisionally selected for admission into B.Sc. in Physiotherapy Course of 2020-2021. The candidates are instructed to get themselves admitted by September 26 to October 7 within 2 pm. Candidates will have to produce their all original certificates on the day of admission. Otherwise the selection will be treated as cancelled.

Application Requirements : Aspirants need to demonstrate the below qualities to be eligible for application :

1. Minimum GPA 8.0 in SSC or equivalent and HSC or its equivalent exams combined in Science group with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. But GPA must be min 3.5 in either SSC or HSC exams.

2. For tribal candidates, SSC and HSC combined GPA must be min 7.0 but not less than 3.0 in either of the exams.

3. Those who passed SSC or equivalent exams before 2017 and HSC or its equivalent before the year 2019 are not eligible for application.

To note, one seat is reserved for tribal candidates and 2 for Freedom Fighter Quota candidates.

To note, application fee is Tk.1000 which needs to be deposited through any Agrani Bank Online Branch before application as money receipt scan copy should be uploaded while applying along with other things like applicant’s picture and signature.

Application Period : As mentioned earlier, online application process begins from April 17. The process will continue till 12 p.m. May 17, 2021.

Admit card Collection : According to the original circular, applicants were expected to begin downloading their admit cards from May 29 to June 3, 2021 till 12 p.m. at night.

To note, candidates must have to carry color print copy of their admit cards to the exam center.

Admission Test Date : First year BSc in Physiotherapy course admission test was scheduled to be held on June 4 from 10 to 11 a.m. But it has been suspended due to the covid-19 situation in the country.

Exam Center : Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academy (former Agargaon Taltola Government Colony School & Mohila College).

Admission Test Method : Admission test will be of 100 marks MCQ type questions. Of the marks, 30 each is for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 10 for English & General Knowledge.

It should be noted there will be negative marking of 0.25 for every negative answer provided by the candidates.

Urgent Note : BSc in Physiotherapy course under Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka is a five year program which is split into 4 year academic and 1 year compulsory internship.

Admission Procedure : At the time of admission, successful candidates must submit their SSC, HSC or their equivalent exams’ original Certificates, Mark Sheets and Medical Fitness Certificates to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR).
