Customs, Excise & Vat Commissionerate Khulna opens a job circular to fill up some 123 posts including Guard (Sipai), Uchchaman Sahakari etc. with application period February 15 to March 6, 2024.

Customs, Excise & Vat Commissionerate, Khulna Job Circular Break-downs :

As per the circular, the authority will recruit people in the following positions :

1. Short-hand Typist cum Computer Operator (1 post) 2. Uchchaman Sahakari (25 posts) 3. Office Assistant cum Computer Typist (20 post) 4. Driver (6 posts) 5. Guard (Sipai) (45 posts) and 6. Office Assistant (26 posts).

Khulna Customs & Vat Commissionerate Job Requirements :

Interested persons will have to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application against their preferred posts :

Ucchaman Sahakari :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) bachelor or equivalent degree obtained from any recognized university with skills in computer operation. Besides, computer typing speed must be minimum 30 words in English & 25 words in Bangla per minute.

Short-hand Typist cum Computer Operator :

Bachelor degree or equivalence obtained from any recognized university with computer training received. Short-hand typing speed must be 45 words in Bangla & 70 words in English per minute plus typing speed per minute min 30 words in English & 25 words in Bangla. Besides, aspirants have to pass Standard Aptitude Test in related subject.

Office Assistant cum Computer Typist :

HSC or equivalent level under any education board with second class or equivalent GPA. Along with skills in computer operation, typing speed per minute must be minimum 20 words in both English & Bangla.

Guard (Sipai) :

SSC or equivalent level pass under any recognized education board. For male, height is minimum 5 feet 4 inches while for female, it is 5 feet 2 inches.

Office Sahayak :

SSC or equivalent level pass under any education board.

Driver :

JSC Or equivalent level pass with legal driving license. Those with experiences in driving will receive preference in landing the job.

Age Requirements :

For all general candidates, age limit is maximum 30 years & minimum 18 years as on February 1, 2024. However, for those related to freedom fighter or martyred freedom fighter and the disabled, it is 32 years to the max as on the same date. In proof of age, no affidavit is acceptable.

Note that permanent residents only from Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Jhalakati, Bhola, Barishal, Potuakhali, Borguna, Madaripur & Shariatpur districts are eligible for application, applicable to all the posts.

As mentioned above, online application process begins at 10 am February 15. The last date & time to apply is 4 pm March 6, 2024.

Application Fee :

The application fee varies from post to post. For the posts under serial number 1, 2, 3 & 4, the fee is Tk. Tk.223 while for the posts under serial no. 5 to 6, it is Tk.112 including service charge.

Applicants must pay the fee by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid mobile number within 72 hours of application submission

Documents To Submit During Viva Exam :

Successful candidates out of written test will have to submit the following documents, among others, during the viva-voce :

1. Attested copies of all academic certificates along with experience certificate where necessary.
2. Nationality Certificate issued from respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/Councilor.
3. Character Certificate issued from ward councilor/first class gazette officer of respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/Councilor/City Corporation.
4. Attested copies of driving license where necessary.
5. Attested photocopies of NID/Birth Certificate.
6. Applicant’s copy of filled-up online application form.
