Customs, Excise & Vat Commissionerate Dhaka (East) opens a job circular to fill up some 85 posts including Computer Operator, Guard (Sipai) etc. with application period February 18 to March 18, 2024.

Customs, Excise & Vat Commissionerate, Dhaka Job Circular Break-downs :

As per the circular, the authority will recruit people in the following positions :

1. Computer Operator (2 post) 2. Uchchaman Sahakari (9 posts) 3. Data Entry/Control Operator (1 post) 4. Driver (9 posts) 5. Guard (Sipai) (45 posts) and 6. Office Assistant (19 posts).

Dhaka Vat Commissionerate Job Requirements :

Interested persons must meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application against their preferred posts :

Computer Operator :

Bachelor (honors) or equivalent degree in Science Group, obtained from any recognized university. Typing speed per minute must be minimum 30 words in English & 25 words in Bangla. Besides, aspirants will have to pass Standard Aptitude Test in related subject.

Ucchaman Sahakari :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) bachelor or equivalent degree obtained from any recognized university with skills in computer operation. Besides, computer typing speed must be minimum 30 words in English & 25 words in Bangla

Data Entry/ Control Operator :

Second class (or equivalent GPA) HSC or equivalent degree under any education board with skills in computer operation. In addition, computer typing speed minimum 20 words in both English & Bangla per minute. Notably, they will have to pass Standard Aptitude Test in related subject.

Guard (Sipai) :

SSC or equivalent level pass under any recognized education board. For male, height is minimum 5 feet 4 inches while for female, it is 5 feet 2 inches.

Office Sahayak :

SSC or equivalent level pass under any recognized education board.

Age Requirements :

For all general candidates and those under tribal quota, the required age range is in between 18 to 30 years as on February 18, 2024. However, for those related to freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters and the disabled, it is in between 18 to 32 years. In support of age, no affidavit is acceptable.

Note that permanent residents only from Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Narsingdi & Kishoreganj districts are eligible for application, applicable to all the posts.

Application Period :

As mentioned above, online application process begins at 10 am February 18. The last date & time to apply is 4 pm March 18, 2024.

Application Fee :

The application fee varies from post to post. For the post under serial number 1, the fee is Tk. 335, for posts under serial no. 2 to 4, it is Tk.223 while for the posts under serial no. 5 to 6, it is Tk.112 including service charge.

Applicants must pay the fee by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid mobile number within 72 hours of application submission

Documents To Submit During Viva Exam :

Successful candidates out of written test will have to submit the following documents, among others, during the viva-voce :

1. Attested copies of all academic certificates along with experience certificate where necessary.
2. Nationality Certificate issued from respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/Councilor.
3. Character Certificate issued from ward councilor/first class gazette officer of respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/Councilor/City Corporation.
4. Attested copies of driving license where necessary.
5. Attested photocopies of NID/Birth Certificate.
6. Applicant’s copy of filled-up online application form.
