JU Weekend MSc In Chemistry Program Admission 2024 : Application Deadline December 28

Jahangirnagar University (JU) Weekend Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry for Industry & Environment (WMSCIE) program admission circular for Spring 2024 is open. Application Deadline is December 28, 2023.

Department of Chemistry at the university offers the one-year program (3 semesters). And classes for the program are held only on Fridays.

JU Weekend MSc In Chemistry Program Admission Requirements :

Interested students need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :

1. Four year BSc Honors degree, or 3 year BSc Honors/Pass + 1-year masters or 2-year pass + 2-year master in Chemistry. Or
2. 4 year BSc Honors degree or 3 year BSc Honors/Pass + 1-year masters or 2-year pass + 2-year master in Chemistry related discipline.

Application Process :

Prospective students can apply either online or offline. Online Application Process is as follows :

First, make a payment of Tk. 1050 as application processing fee by any Dutch Bangla Mobile Banking Account to WMSC, JU biller code 2710. The process is as follows:

For payment by Dutch Bangla Mobile Banking Account, dial *322#.

From the menu, select 1 for Bill Pay.

Then select any one of the following options<

Input 1 (Self) If it is your Rocket account’s or  Input 2 (Others) If it is Agent /friend’s Rocket account.

Then collect Txnid (TRANSACTION ID) from the return SMS.

Next, you will require to fill up Application Form by visiting either of the following links :

http://juwmsc.info or http://univadmin.info/wmsc/ and log in with your mobile no. and Txnid.

Done!

Or one can collect prescribed application form from the Department of Chemistry.

Then they need to fill up the form & submit it to the Office of Department of Chemistry during the office hour between 9 am to 4 pm.

Along with application form, applicants have to submit the following documents :

Attested copies of BSc Honors./Pass & MS certificates/mark-sheets and two recent passport size color photographs.

The fee for offline application is Tk.1000.

Key Dates To Remember :

As mentioned earlier, the last date to apply is December 28 followed by admission test at 10 am on December 29, 2023. The test results will be out on the same date.

Then successful candidates can enroll from December 31 to January 4, 2024. Classes are expected to begin early January.

Admission Test Format :

JU Weekend MSc in Chemistry program admission test involves one (1) hour admission test (MCQ) taken on basics in Chemistry & English language.

Notably, selected candidates must carry all relevant documents on the day of admission test.
