Financial Institutions Division, the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Essay Competition circular 2024 is open with essay submission deadline February 8.
The Financial Institutions Division (FID) is organizing the essay contest on the occasion of National Insurance Day-2024.
Financial Institutions Division Essay Competition Category & Topics :
Interested student, in-study both at school & college and University levels, will need to submit hand-written essay in A-4 Size paper. There will be two groups or category in the competition—Ka-group (Schools/Colleges or equivalent) & Kha-group (University/equivalent).
For ‘A’ Group, the topic is ‘Bangabandhu in the Advancement of Insurance Industry in Bangladesh’. On the other hand, for ‘Kha’ group, the essay topic is ‘Role of Insurance Industry in Shaping of Smart Bangladesh’.
The word count is 1000 words and 1,500 words respectively for Ka and Kha groups.

FID Essay Competition Participation Process :
Participants can send their essay either by registered postal service, courier or email. For electronic application, they will need to use this address : [email protected].
Or they can send their essay by post to this address :
Member-Secretary, Essay Competition Organizing Sub-Committee, Room No. 336, Building No. 07, Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka-1000.
Notably, applicants must mention Group Name and Essay Topic on top of envelope or in the subject line of email. Besides, one can send essay through just one channel. Otherwise, any essay submission will be considered invalid.

Essay Competition Conditions :
Applicants will need to maintain the following things in writing and submitting essay :
- Essay must be hand-written clearly on one side of A-4 size paper. Any essay written on both sides of a piece of paper will be disqualified.
- Photocopy of applicant’s student ID, attested by respective institution’s Head or Departmental Chief.
- Photocopy of Birth Registration or NID.
- Two (2) copies of passport size photographs with essay.
- Essay must be original, free of plagiarism or copy. However, information sources need to be mentioned.
Essay Competition Prize Money :
For each category, there are three prizes—first, second & third—with first prize amount Tk.25,000, second place holder Tk.20,000 and third place Tk.18,000 in prize bond. Besides, there are certificate, crest and book for each winners.
