CID Job Circular 2023-2024 : Application Deadline January 21

CID (Bangladesh Police) opens a job circular to fill up some six (6) posts as Data Entry Operator & Office Assistant. Online application begins December 24 and ends at 4 pm January 21, 2024.

CID Job Circular 2024 Breakdown :

As per the circular, the authority will recruit people in the following two posts :

1. Data Entry Operator (2 posts, Grade-16) and 2. Office Assistant (Grade-20, 4 posts).

CID Job Requirements :

Interested persons need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :

Data Entry Operator Post :

HSC or equivalent exam pass under any recognized board with typing speed per minute minimum 20 words in both Bengali and English. Besides, aspirants have to pass Standard Aptitude Test in related subject.

For data entry operator, residents from the districts of Narayanganj, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Madaripur, Shariatpur, Kishoreganj, Jamalpur, Netrokona, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Gaibandha, Chuadanga, Panchagarh, Kushthia, Meherpur, Jhalakati, Pirojpur & Moulvibazar are not eligible to apply.

Office Assistant Post :

SSC or equivalent exam pass under any known education board. Prospective candidates have to appear for written & viva exams and pass them.

For Office Assistant post, residents from the districts of Gazipur, Narayanganj, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Madaripur, Rajbari, Shariatpur, Kishoreganj, Sherpur, Brahmanbaria, Laksmipur,Noakhali,  Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, Naogaon, Natore, Kurigram, Jhenidah, Magura, Bagherhat, Jhalakati, Pirojpur & Potuakhali are ineligible for application.

However, orphans and the physically disabled from all the districts in the country are eligible to application for both the posts.

Age Requirements :

For all general candidates, age limit is maximum 30 years as on December 24, 2023. However, those related to freedom fighters and the disabled, it is up to 32 years to the highest on the same date. No affidavit is acceptable in support of age.

As mentioned earlier, online application process is already underway from 9 am December 24. The deadline to apply is 4 pm January 21, 2024.

Application Fee :

The fee is Tk.223 (with service charge) & Tk.112 (including service charge) for Data Entry Operator & Office Assistant post respectively.

Documents to Submit During CID Viva Exam :

Prospective candidates will have to submit photocopies of following documents, among others, upon demonstration of original copies of them :

1. Certificates of all academic examinations.
2. Nationality Certificate issued by respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/City Corporation Ward Councilor/Cantonment Board Chief Executive Officer.
3. Character Certificate issued from respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/City Corporation Ward Councilor.
4. Attested photocopy of NID or Birth Certificate.
5. Applicant’s copy of filled-up online application form.
