Brief Intro of Presidency University : 

The Presidency University Foundation, a dynamic group of 30 teachers, leaders of business and industry, and retired government officers, came together and petitioned the government for a permit to establish and operate Presidency University.

On July 21, 2003, the Ministry of Education, the Government of Bangladesh in keeping with the Private University Act 1992, authorized the establishment and operation of Presidency University. Thereafter, Presidency University opened its door to students in September of 2003.

Presidency University Subject List/Programs :

Currently, Presidency University offers the following programs at undergraduate level :

1. BSc in Civil Engineering under Department of Civil Engineering (CE) 2. BSc in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) 3. BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) 4. BSc in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) under Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) 5. Bachelor of Business Administration & BSS in Economics under Department of Business and 6. BA in English.

Presidency University Graduate Programs :

The university currently offers the following programs at graduate level :

1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) 2. Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) 3. MSS in Economics under the Department of Business and 4. MA in English Language Teaching (ELT) under School of Liberal Arts and Social Science.

Presidency University Admission Requirements for Undergraduate Programs:

Aspirants must meet the following requirements, among others, to be eligible for application for admission in undergraduate programs :

1. GPA minimum 2.50 in both SSC & HSC. Alternatively, if the candidate fails to achieve the minimum GPA of 2.50 in either SSC or HSC, then he/she must have a combined total GPA of 6.00 with a minimum of GPA 2 in either SSC or HSC.
2. SSC & HSC or their equivalent exams’ combined GPA minimum 5.0 for children of freedom fighter.
3. Students from English medium background must have minimum 5 subjects in O level and minimum 2 subjects in A level. Among the minimum 7 subjects of both the examinations, at least 4 subjects must carry minimum grade B or GPA 4 and other 3 subjects must carry minimum grade C or GPA 3.5.
4. Candidates with Diploma in Engineering from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) are welcome for admission in the University.

Required Documents for admission :

During admission, students must submit the following documents :

1. Application Form (Available at Admission Office).
2. Three (3) copies of recent passport size color photo.
3. Photocopy of all relevant Certificates and Mark Sheets (Intermediate and Secondary Education Boards Bangladesh / International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).

Presidency University Facilities :

The university has a host of facilities for its students. Notably, there’s 50 to 100 percent scholarship which students can avail based on their previous academic results. Plus there is 50% special discount on admission fees during the period of admission fair.
