Ministry of Food, the government of Bangladesh opens a job circular to fill some 19 posts including Short-hand typist cum Computer Operator, Cashier etc. Deadline to apply is February 5, 2024.
Food Ministry Job Circular In Details :
As per the circular, the authority will recruit people to the following posts :
- Short-hand Typist cum Computer Operator (8 posts) 2. Draftsman (1 post) 3. Cashier (1 post) 4. Office Assistant cum Computer Typist (5 posts) and 5. Office Assistant (4 posts).
Food Ministry Job Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
Short-hand Typist cum Computer Operator :
Bachelor or equivalent degree obtained from any recognized university. Besides, short hand typing speed must be minimum 70 words in English & 45 words in Bengali per minute and typing speed 30 words in English and 25 words in Bengali per minute.
Cashier :
Bachelor degree in Commerce group obtained from any known university with skills in computer operation.
Draftsman :
Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from any polytechnic institute. Or
Second class HSC or equivalent level pass with Draftsmanship course pass from any recognized institute.
Office Assistant cum Computer Typist :
HSC or equivalent exam pass under any recognized board with skills in computer operation. In addition, aspirants must have experiences in word processing, email and fax operations plus typing speed minimum 20 words per minute in both Bengali and English.
Office Assistant :
SSC or equivalent level pass with age range being in between 18 to 30 years.

Age Requirements :
For all general candidates, age limit is maximum 30 years as on January 1, 2024. However, for those related to freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighter and the disabled, the age limit is maximum 32 years on the same date. In support of age, no affidavit is acceptable.

Application Period :
As mentioned above, online application process has begun from 10 am January 11. And the last date and time to apply is 5 pm February 5, 2024.
Application Fee :
The application fee varies from post to post. For the posts under serial no. 1 to 4, the fee is Tk.223 while for post under serial no.5, it is Tk.112 with service charge.
Applicants must pay the fee by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid mobile number within 72 hours of application submission.
Documents To Submit During Viva Exam :
Successful candidates out of written test will have to submit the following documents, among others, during the viva-voce :
- Attested copies of all academic certificates along with experience certificate where necessary.
- Nationality Certificate issued from respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/Councilor.
- Character Certificate issued from ward councilor/first class gazette officer of respective Union Parishad Chairman/Municipality Mayor/Councilor/City Corporation.
- Attested copies of driving license where necessary.
- Attested photocopies of NID/Birth Certificate.
- Applicant’s copy of filled-up online application form.
Notably, they have to produce original documents of all the above-mentioned papers or certificates.
