Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection Essay Competition 2024 : Deadline February 5

Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection arranges an essay competition on occasion of celebration of World Consumer Rights Day. Deadline to submit essay in A-4 size paper is February 5, 2024.

Every year, the World Consumer Rights Day is observed globally on March 15.

Attention : This article also contains Financial Institutions Division, the Ministry of Finance Essay Competition circular 2024. Deadline to submit hand-written essay in A-4 size paper is February 8, 2024. For details, please see the circular available at the end of this article. 

Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection Essay Competition Category :

According to the circular, essay competition has four categories which are as follows :

1. Mass Media Employees (Print & Electronic) 2. University Level (undergraduate & post-graduate) 3. College Level (Higher Secondary) and 4. School Level (6^th to 10^th grade).

Essay Competition Category-Wise Topics :

As mentioned above, interested persons can take part in the competition in four categories. For the category of journalist, the topic is ‘Role of Mass Media In Creating Fair Market Management & Consumer Awareness’.

For university level students, the essay topic is ‘Application of Modern Information Technology in Protection of Consumer Rights’. For college students, it is ‘Role of Youths in Applying Artificial Intelligence To Promote Consumer Rights’.

Essay Competition Participation Process :

Participants can send their essay either by email/post or in-person. For electronic application, they will need to use this address : [email protected]

Or they can send or drop their essay by post or in-person to this address :

Director-General, Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, 01 Karwan Bazar, TCB Bhaban (8^th floor), Dhaka.

Essay Competition Conditions :

Participants will need to maintain the following things in writing and submitting essay :

1. Essay must be hand-written in nice & clear style and on one side of A-4 size paper. Essays written on both sides a piece of paper will be disqualified.
2. Participating students and journalists must attach their student ID or Testimonial from respective institution’s Head and Press ID respectively.
3. Two (2) copies of passport size photographs with essay.
4. Essay must be original, not copied from any types of sources. However, information sources need to be mentioned.

Essay Competition Prize Money :

For each category, there are three prizes—first, second & third—with first prize value ranging from Tk.25,000 to Tk.15,000, second prize from Tk.20 to Tk.12,000 while third prize from Tk.15,000 to Tk.10,000.
