Chittagong University Admission 2023-24 : Circular Likely In May

CU (Chittagong University) first year (honors) admission circular for academic year 2023-2024 is likely to be open in May with application possibly beginning from June 15. Those who passed SSC in 2021 as regular students and HSC or its equivalent in 2023 are eligible to apply.

CU Admission Application Requirements :

Admission aspirants need to hold the following academic background to be eligible for application :

1. Having passed SSC or its equivalent exams in 2021 as regular students.
2. As a regular students who passed HSC or its equivalent exams in 2023.

Unit-wise & Sub-Unit-wise Requirements :

Aspirants need to demonstrate the following requirements to be eligible for their preferred units :

For A-Unit :

SSC or equivalent exam from any group and HSC or equivalent exam from Science or Agri-Science group combined GPA must be minimum 8.0 including 4th subject with GPA min 4.0 in each exams.

For B-Unit & BI Sub-Unit :

1. SSC or its equivalent exam from any group and HSC or equivalent exam from Science or Agri-Science group combined GPA must be minimum 8.0 including 4th subject. But GPA must be min 4.0 in each exams/2. SSC or its equivalent exam and HSC or its equivalent exam combined GPA min 7.5 with 4th subject from Humanities/General (Madrasa Education Board)/Music/Home Economics Group; but GPA must be min 3.0 in either of the exams/3. SSC or its equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent exams combined GPA min 8.0 with 4th subject from Business Studies/Business Management or equivalent group; But they must have min GPA 3.5 in each exams.

For C-Unit :

SSC or its equivalent exam from any group and HSC or equivalent exam from Business Studies combined GPA must be minimum 8.0 including 4th subject; but GPA must be min 3.5 in each exam.

Or SSC or equivalent exam and Diploma-in Commerce/Diploma-in Business Studies/Diploma-in Business Management with Accounting/Higher-Accounting combined GPA must be min 8.0 including 4th subject; But GPA must be min 3.5 in either of the exam.

For D-Unit :

SSC or its equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent exam (any group) combined GPA must be minimum 7.5 including 4th subject; but GPA must be min 3.5 in each exam. For details, please see the circular provided at the end of the article).

For D1 Sub-Unit :

SSC or its equivalent exam and HSC or equivalent exam (any group) combined GPA must be minimum 6.0 including 4th subject; but GPA must be min 2.5 in each exam. For details, please see the circular provided at the end of the article).

Requirements For GCE O-level & GCE A-level Candidates :

Those who passed from English Medium must demonstrate the following educational conditions to be eligible for application :

1. GCE O-level pass in 2019 as regular students and GCE A-level in 2021 as regular students also. For details, see the circular in the below image).

CU Application Period :

Online application process begins from 11 am June 15. The process will continue till 11:59 pm July 3.

CU Application Fee :

The application fee for all units/sub-units is Tk. 750 (excluding processing fee). Applicants can deposit the fee by any of the following means—Rocket/Upai/bkash mobile financial service operator. And the last time to deposit the fee is 11:59 pm July 5, 2022

CU Admission Test Method :

The test will have 100 marks MCQ Type questions. Where necessary, there will be practical exams also. To note, for every negative answer, there will be a deduction of .25 marks from the total marks secured in the test.

Admit Card Download Time :

Applicants will be able to download their admit cards over a specified period until last day ahead of the commencement of any unit Tests.

Urgent Note :

Candidates have the scope to change any information in their applications till July 20. But they have to pay Tk.300 as service charge (where applicable) for any related duplicate copy collection.
