Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC) opens a job circular to fill some 6 posts including Chief Scientific Officer with application deadline February 29, 2024.
As per the circular, the council authority will fill up the positions on permanent basis and thereby inviting applications from eligible Bangladeshi nationals.
Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council Job Circular Breakdowns :
According to the circular, the authority will recruit professionals in the following positions :
- Chief Scientific Officer (Crop/Fisheries/ Agronomics & Rural Social Science/Animal Resources/Soil, 5 posts) 2. Senior Scientific Officer (Nutrition, 1 post).
BARC Job Requirements :
Interested persons will need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application against their preferred post :
Chief Scientific Officer :
PhD in Agri-Science related subject obtained from any recognized university along with minimum eight (8) years of relevant job experiences in the role of first class.
Besides, minimum six (6) research publications in recognized journals. Second class/division or equivalent CGPA across academic life with age being 45 years as on February 1, 2024.
Senior Scientific Officer (Nutrition) :
Having three (3) years of work experiences in related subject as Scientific Officer with any agency under the National Agricultural Research System (NARS). Or
Post-graduation or equivalent degree with bachelor (honors) in Agri Science or Nutrition Science related subjects, obtained from any know university plus three (3) years of experiences in related field.
In addition, minimum three (3) publications on related subject in recognized journals. Second class/division or equivalent CGPA involving all exams with age 40 years as on February 1, 2024.
Notably, residents from all districts across the country are eligible for application, applicable to both the positions.

BARC Job Application Process :
Aspirants will have to apply in given form which they can collect from the website of the council which is www.barc.gov.bd
Then they will require to fill up the form properly and send it along with four (4) copies of fresh passport size color photographs to this address :
Chairman, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council, New Airport Road, Farmgate, Dhaka-1215.
Remember, all applications must reach the specified destination by 4 pm on February 29, 2024.
Documents to Show/Submit During Viva :
During viva, candidates must demonstrate original copies of all certificates and submit one attested set of all required documents. Besides, they have to submit attested copy of nationality certificate issued from Union Parishad/Municipality/City Corporation and Voter ID Card (NID).
