45th BCS Preliminary exam result is out now! Some 12,789 students has became successful in the preliminary test out of 346,000 applicants. Earlier on May 19, the test was held in eight divisional cities concurrently.

The preliminary exam of the 45th BCS took place back on May 19 from 10 am to 12 pm at 258 centers in the eight divisional cities—Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Ranpur and Mymensingh.
In the exam, some 268,119 candidates took part out of 346,000 applicants in total while 78,803 individuals did not attend. With that, the percentage of attendance in the preliminary was 77.
Earlier, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) published the circular for the 45th BCS on 30 November 2022. The application process began on December 10 and ended on December 31.
A total of 2,309 cadres will be recruited in the civil service through the examination, while 1,022 will be recruited as non-cadre posts.
Out of the 2,309 cadre positions, 539 physicians and 437 teachers will be recruited through the 45th BCS. In addition, the authority will employ 274 individuals in administration cadre, 80 in the police cadre, and 54 in customs through the 45th BCS.
Notably, 45th BCS circular is the first one where the authority specified the number of non-cadre positions. Applicants for this BCS had to mention their preferred choices for both cadre and non-cadre posts.

Attention :
Having right knowledge on the venue of the test is also a part of exam preparation. So one should check his or her center at least twice so that they do not end up at wrong center.
BCS Preliminary Test Method :
The BCS preliminary test is an MCQ based exam which will have 200 marks in total. Each question will carry one mark. There is a negative marking of 0.50 for every wrong answer.

Things Banned During BCS Preliminary Test :
As per the notice, candidates will not be able to carry the following things to exam centers —-Books, all types of watches, Smartphones, Bags, all types of jewelries, all kinds of electronic devices, any devices resembling bank’s debit or credit cards, calculator etc.
Candidates can’t keep any coverings over their ears at the time of test. If they need any hearing aid, then they will have to have prior approval from the authority with suggestion by expert.
If anyone possesses the things on the list of ban, he or she will not be allowed to enter test center. Even they may face ban on participation in any BCS examinations in future.
So every candidate is strongly advised to follow the guidelines or instructions set by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).
Instructions For Students for 45th BCS Preliminary Exam :
Candidates will receive notification to this end from the authority regarding instructions ahead of the test date. So please do try to maintain those instructions!
On the other hand, candidates must wear face masks while entering exam centers as part of heath guidelines set by the authority in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 virus.
Test Centers For English Version Candidates :
There are eight centers in total in eight divisional cities for candidates who want to take part in the test in English version.
The centers are the followings—–Model Academy, Paikpara Govt (D-type) Colony, Mirpur, Dhaka; Rajshahi College, Rajshahi; Khulna Govt Mohila College, Boira, Khulna; Chattogram College, Chattogram; Sylhet Govt College, Sylhet; Rangpur Govt College, Rangpur; Ananda Mohan College, Mymonsingh and Govt Syed Hatem Ali College, Barishal.
