DU (University of Dhaka) Professional Masters in Environmental Planning, Management & Sustainable Development (PMEPMSD) program for July 2023 is now open. The deadline to apply is June 22, 2023.
The duration of the professional program is two (2) years into four (4) semesters. It is conducted by the Department of Geography & Environment under Faculty of Earth & Environmental Sciences.
DU PMEPMSD Program Features :
The two year-long program carries the following core features, among others, :
- Total credit hours 40.
- Classes only on weekends on Fridays & Saturdays from 3 to 8 pm.
- Highly qualified Faculties with strong teaching & professional experiences.
- Modern learning environment with multimedia & Wi-Fi facilities.
DU PMEPMSD Program Admission Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
- Minimum second class/division or GPA 2.5 out of scale 5.0 in both SSC & HSC exams or their equivalence.
- Four (4) year bachelor honors degree or its equivalence with second class or CGPA 3.0 out of scale 4.0.
- Second class in three (3) year bachelor degree with one year Master’s degree or its equivalence.
- Second class in two (2) year bachelor (pass) degree with two (2) year master’s degree from any recognized university.
Application Process :
Interested persons need to apply in prescribed form which they can collect either in person from the office of the department or online.
They can collect ‘Application Form’ from 9 to 4 pm on working days (Sunday to Thursday) and 3 to 6 pm on Fridays & Saturdays.

- Three (3) copies of attested passport size photograph.
- Attested copies of all academic certificates and mark-sheets or transcripts.
Admission Related Dates :
As mentioned earlier, the deadline to collect and submit application form is June 22, 2023 followed by admission test on July 7.
The viva exam involving the successful candidates from written test will take place at 10 am on July 14.
The last date for admission is July 20, 2023.
