JU MPhil PhD Admission 2023-2024 : Application June 15 to July 20

JU (Jahangirnagar University) MPhil PhD courses admission circular for year 2023-2024 is now open. Application process gets underway from June 15 and ends on July 20, 2023.

As per the circular, the authority will enroll researchers on part-time and full-time basis for the following departments and institutes.

MPhil & PhD Courses Under Departments & Institutes :

Department under Faculties of Mathematical & Physical Science/Social Science/Biological Science/Business Studies/IBA-JU/IIT/IRS & GIS :

Computer Science & Engineering/Mathematics/Physics/Environmental Science/Statistics/Chemistry/Economics/Anthropology/Geography & Environment/Governance & Politics/Public Administration/Urban & Regional Planning/Botany/Zoology/Pharmacy/Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering/ Biochemistry & Molecular Science/Microbiology/Public Health & Informatics/Marketing/Management Studies/IBA-JU/IIT/Institute of Remote Sensing & GIS.

Subjects Under Faculty of Arts & Humanities and Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature & Culture :

International Relations/English/History/Philosophy/ Drama & Dramatics/Bangla/Archeology/Bangabandhu Institute of Comparative Literature & Culture.

JU MPhil Course Admission Requirements :

Bachelor (honors/pass) and Post-graduation with varying level of class/GPA/CGPA depending on subjects or institutes under different faculties or institutes.

JU PhD Course Admission Requirements :

For admission into PhD course, aspirants need to have the following qualifications, among others :

MPhil degree from any public university or MPhil or Master’s degree obtained from any recognized foreign universities.

Those with being involved in teaching at Jahangirnagar University must have at least two (2) years of teaching experiences.

JU MPhil PhD Admission Process :

Interested persons can collect Application Form from Agrani Bank Ltd, Jahangirnagar University branch by paying Tk.1000 & Tk.1500 for MPhil and PhD courses respectively.

Then they need to submit filled up Application Form at the respective departments or institutes over the period (except holidays).

With application form, applicants need to attach the following documents, among others :

1. Attested photocopies of all academic mark-sheets or transcripts.
2. Photocopies of all academic certificates.
3. Two (2) copies of passport size color photograph.
4. Two (2) sets of computer typed research proposal or synopsis in A4 size offset paper.
