India’s Central Vista Project : All You Need To Know
Indian government’s the Central Vista Project, granted green signal by the Supreme Court to go ahead on January 5 this year, is a much talked about ambitious plan to redevelop several government infrastructures along the three kilometer stretch from Rashtrapati Bhaban to India Gate.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹ 20,000 crores.
The project involves reconstruction of several mega government structures including new Parliament Building, central secretariat, new PMO and others.

New Parliament Building will have the following features :
# A four-Storey structure
# Seating Capacity for 1,224 MPs
# Cost Rs 970 crore
# Estimated completion Period : 2022
# Total area 64,500 square meter

Additional Facilities : New Parliament Building will have the following additions as well :
# A Constitution Hall to showcase democratic heritage
# Lounge for MPs
# Library
# Multiple Committee Rooms
# Dining Areas
To note, Tata Projects Ltd. will construct the new Parliament Building.
