Qualified persons with experiences in flying planes are requested to apply with the deadline to apply being December 13, 2021.

However, for the post of Captain Boeing-787, the deadline is December 5, 2021 (within 7 days from the publication of the circular, November 29).

Biman Vacancy Details :

The national flag carrier, popularly known as Balaka, will recruit pilots for 33 posts under the job announcement.

Of the vacancy in two separate circulars, eight posts go for Captain Boeing-787, six posts for Captain Boeing-777, 15 posts for First Officer Boeing-777 and 4 posts for First Officer Boeing.

To note, all appointment will be on five year contractual basis, subject to renewal.

Biman Job Requirements :

Interested candidates need to demonstrate the following qualities to be eligible for application against their preferred post :

For Captain Boeing-787 Post :

1. Being citizen of Bangladesh.
2. A CAAB/ICAO valid ATPL with valid class one Medical Certificate.
3. Minimum flying experience of 5000 hours along with PIC Experience of 2500 hours.
4. At least PIC on Type/Boeing-787 is 700 hours with current IR and Pilot’s Proficiency check.
5. Having recent experience of at least three takes-off and landings within the preceding 90 days on the type of aircraft applied for or in a flight simulator approved for the purpose.
6. Fluency in written and spoken English, equivalent to ICAO English level 4 or above.
7. No accident or accident reports in which he or she held responsible within the last five years.

For Captain Boeing-777 Post :

1. Being citizen of Bangladesh with CAAB/CAO ATPL with valid class one medical certificate.
2. Total flying experience of more than 6000 hours (on multi crew, multi engine commercial aircract with MTOW of 50 tons or more) including the following–1500 hours Co-pilot on type or equivalent type or 500 hours Pilot in Command on Aircraft & a minimum of 2000 hours airlines experience.
   3.Fluency in in both written and spoken English, equivalent to ICAO English level 4 or above.
3. No affidavit will be acceptable in proof of date of birth.

For First Officer Boeing-777 Post :

1. Being a citizen of Bangladesh.
2. Holder of CPL & IR issued or endorsed by Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) with being passed in all ATPL ground subjects.
3. Relevant valid flying license and valid class-1 medical certificate.
4. Total flying experiences of minimum 2000 hours on multi crew, multi engine commercial jet aircraft with MTOW of 50 tons or more.
5. Fluency in in both written and spoken English, equivalent to ICAO English level 4 or above.
6. No affidavit will be acceptable in proof of date of birth.

For First Officer Boeing-737 Post :

1. Being a citizen of Bangladesh.
2. Holder of CPL & IR issued or endorsed by Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) with being passed in all ATPL ground subjects.
3. Relevant valid flying license and valid class-1 medical certificate.
4. Total flying experiences of minimum 1000 hours with 500 hours most recently on B737 NG.
5. Fluency in in both written and spoken English, equivalent to ICAO English level 4 or above.
6. No affidavit will be acceptable in proof of date of birth.

Condition :

Selected candidates will have to sign an agreement and a surety bond separately on non-judiciary stamp of Tk. 1000 each. This condition is applicable to all the mentioned posts.
