Barishal University (BU) opens a job circular to recruit people to some 49 posts including Director (Planning & Development), Deputy Registrar, Hardware Engineer, Section Officer etc. with application deadline March 28, 2024.

According to the circular, all the positions will be permanent basis.

As per the circular, the Barishal University authority will recruit people to the following posts under 36 categories :

1. Director (Planning & Development, 1 post) 2. Additional Director (Finance & Accounts, 1 post) 3. Deputy Registrar (1 post) 4. Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts, 1 post) 5. Hardware Engineer (1 post) 6. Assistant Exam Controller (1 post) 7. Section Officer (1 post) 8. Accounts Officer (1 post) 9. Assistant Computer Programmer/Assistant Data Base Programmer (1 post) 10. Imam (1 permanent Post) 11. Deputy Assistant Engineer (Electrical, 1 post) 12. Junior Instrument Engineer (1 permanent post) 13. Demonstrator (1 permanent post) 14. Personal Assistant (1 permanent post) 15. PA to Registrar (1 post) 16. Computer Operator (2 post) 17. Caretaker (2 posts) 18. Caretaker (Female, 1 post) and Others.

Barishal University Job Requirements :

Aspirants need to meet the following condition, among others, to be eligible for application against their preferred positions :

For Assistant Professor (Economics) Post : Those with post-graduate degree must have five (5) years of teaching experiences as Assistant Professor with any known university along with ten (10) years of teaching or research experiences and five (5) publications in total with three as Assistant Professor in recognized journals.

Those with MPhil or equivalent degree must have four (4) years of teaching experiences as Assistant Professor with any known university along with eight (8) years of teaching or research experiences and five (5) publications in total with three as Assistant Professor in recognized journals.

For Lecturer Post : Having first class or division or GPA at least 4.0 out of scale 5.0 in both SSC and HSC or their equivalent exams. Besides, having first class or division in either bachelor (honors) or Post-graduation or GPA minimum 3.5 out of scale 4.0 in both bachelor (honors) and post-graduation degree. However, those with PhD may enjoy relaxations in educational requirements.

For Assistant Registrar Post : Having Bachelor (honors) and Post-graduation degree with second class/division or GPA 3.0 in whole academic life meaning second class or GPA 3.0 is mandatory at every stage of academic life. In addition, having four (4) years of experiences in administrative areas as Officer with any university or higher educational institutions.

For Network Engineer Post : Having four (4) year bachelor or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Electric & Communication Engineering/Electric & Telecommunication Engineering/Information & Communication Technology or related subjects. In addition, having at least five (5) years of experience as Network Engineer/Assistant Network Engineer with any government/semi-government or autonomous institution or organizations. In terms of qualifications, grade or GPA must be at least second class or GPA 3.0

BU Job Application Process :

Interested persons will need to apply in prescribed form which they can download from the following website :

www.bu.ac.bd.

Or they can collect application form in person from Dispatch Brach, Barishal University by paying Tk.50 each.

Then they will need to fill up all the fields in the form and submit it to the following destination by the deadline :

Registrar, Barishal University, Karnakathi, Barishal Sadar, Barishal-8254.

Application Fee :

The fee varies from post to post. For the posts with grade 3 to 9, the fee is Tk.600, for post with grade 10, it is Tk.500, for posts with Grade 11 to 12, it is Tk.300, for posts with grade 13 to 16, it is Tk.200 and for the posts with Grade 17 to 20, the fee is Tk.100.

Applicants must deposit the fee as Bank Draft/Pay Order with any Sonali Bank Ltd branch in favor of Treasurer, Barishal University.

Papers To Attach with Application Form :

Applicants need to attach the following documents with their application form :

1. Attested copies of all academic certificates and marksheets.
2. Photocopies of certificates related to training and experiences, if available or necessary.
3. Four (4) copies of passport size color photographs with main application form and one (1) color photograph with each set of application.
4. Attested photocopies of online birth certificate or National ID Card.
