Oceanographic Research Institute Job Circular 2024 Breakdown :
As per the circular, the research institute will recruit people in the following positions :
- Senior Scientific Officer (4 posts) 2. Scientific Officer (11 posts) 3. Administrative Officer (1 post) 4. Assistant Programmer (1 post) and 5. Assistant Engineer (1 post).
BORI Job Application Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
Senior Scientific Officer :
Doctorate degree in relevant subject field obtained from any recognized university. Besides, at least three (3) years of practical experiences along with minimum three (3) complete research publication in research journals. Or
Post-graduation along with bachelor (honors) in related subject from any known institution plus minimum five (5) years of experiences with minimum three (3) research publications in journals.
And age limit is maximum 37 years as on January 24, 2024.
Administrative Officer :
Post-graduation degree Or post-graduation with bachelor (honors) obtained from any known university. Age limit is not more than 30 years.
Assistant Programmer :
Second class (or equivalent CGPA) bachelor (honors) or equivalent degree in Computer Science/Computer Science & Engineering/Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Information & Communication Technology. Plus, age requirement is no more than 30 years.
Assistant Engineer :
Bachelor (honors) or equivalent degree in the field of Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical/Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, obtained from any approved university. Aspirants must have minimum second class/division or grade across academic life. In terms of age requirements, it is not over 30 years.

Notably, for posts under serial number 1 & 2, aspirants need to apply in filling up ‘Ka’ form while for post under serial number 3,4 & 5, they have to fill up ‘Kha’ form.
Application Fee :
For all general applicants, the application fee is Tk.1000. However, for minority tribal applicants, it is Tk.200.
Applicants need to pay the fee as bank draft or pay order deposited with any Sonali Bank branch in favor of Director General, Bangladesh Oceanographic Research Institute, Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.
