Education Ministry Bangladesh research grant circular for finance year 2023-24 is now open with deadline to apply June 30, 2023. Interested persons must submit their research proposal in prescribed form available at the ministry website (www.shed.gov.bd).
The invitation for submission of research proposal is extended under the Higher Study Research Grant Program being implemented by the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Ministry of Education, Bangladesh government.
Education Ministry Research Grant (Research) Proposal Fields :
Interested Bangladeshi citizens fulfilling certain requirements can submit their research proposal in the following eleven (11) field :
- Mathematical Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Physical Sciences
- Social Sciences
- ICT
- Marine Science
- Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Researches towards obtaining the Goals of Eighth (8th) Five Year Plan.
- Engineering and Technology.
- Public Policy of Bangladesh.
- Business Studies and
- Bangladesh Development Studies.
Who can Participate in Bangladesh Education Ministry Research Grant Program?
All teachers and researchers currently in service with general, specialized, technical, Agriculture and Medical Universities and post-graduate colleges or institutions under National University & Bangladesh Open University are eligible for application for the grant.
Besides, people who are with public and autonomous institutions or agencies and involved in research activities or have willingness to undertake research activities can also apply for the research grant.

Bangladesh Education Ministry Research Grant Application Process :
Interested persons must send their application using the below link by mandatorily filling up PCN (Project Concept Note) Form :
Attention : Researchers can send their application throughout the year using the above link. But applications being submitted by the deadline of June 30, 2023 will be considered for finance year 2023-24 only.

Required Conditions For Getting Research Grant :
Applicants must meet the following conditions, among others, in order to get the research grant offered by the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh :
- Initially have to submit Project Concept Note (PCN).
- Priorities will be extended for basic and applied researches.
- Applicants with research experiences and publications in local and international journals will receive priority in getting the grant.
- Those who are already research under the program are not eligible for application.
