Dhaka University Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) admission circular for session 2023-2024 is open. Application process has begun from March 8. And the deadline to apply is April 30, 2024.
The executive EMPA program, which has a period of one year, is designed to provide the prospective students with the specialized understanding in the following core areas of modern theories and practices of governance :
- Human resource management 2. Performance management 3. Innovation and Change management 4. Climate Change & Disaster management 5. Financial management and banking 6. Public Policy Analysis 7. Advanced Social research methodology and 8. Local Government.
DU EMPA Admission Requirements :
Aspirants will need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
- Four year Bachelor’s degree with minimum second class or CGPA minimum 2.50 in any discipline from any recognized university or institute.
- SSC & HSC or equivalent exam CGPA minimum 3.50 out of 5.0 or second class.
DU EMPA Admission Process :
Aspirants can apply either online or in-person by collecting and submitting application form over the period.

Then they will need to fill up the form and submit it (scanned copy of application form) online along with payment of Tk.1000 as application fee.
To note that applicants will require to deposit the fee with Sonali Bank Ltd, Dhaka University Campus Corporate Branch.

Or they can collect admission form in-person from the Office of Department of Public Administration from 10 to 4 pm on working days and 10 to 7 pm on weekends.
After filling up the form, they can submit it at the same office which is : Office of the Department of Public Administration, Social Sciences Buildings, 11th floor.

Admission Test Date :
As per the circular, admission test of the executive MPA program for year 2024 will take place at 10 am on May 10. The exam venue is Department of Public Administration.
The test has 100 marks in total comprising of 60 marks written test, Viva-voce 25 marks and the rest from previous academic results.
As per the circular, the classes of the executive Master of Public Administration is expected to begin from July 5, to be held in the weekends.
