BAS-USDA Endowment Program circular 2024 is open inviting applications from scientists to submit Preliminary Research Project Proposals (6th phase). Deadline for research project proposal submission is March 4, 2024.
Interested persons intending to submit research proposals must be from relevant public & private organizations.
BAS-USDA Endowment Program Thematic Research Areas :
As per the circular, interested scientists can submit their preliminary proposals in the following thematic subject fields :
- Crop 2. Natural Resources 3. Livestock 4. Fisheries 5. Farm Mechanization 6. Socio-Economics & Marketing and 7. Health & Nutrition.

Preliminary Research Proposal Conditions/Requirements :
In preparing preliminary research proposal, aspirants will have to maintain the following things :
- Total budget of a project should not exceed Tk.70,00000 (Seventy Lakhs Only) with Capital cost not more than 25% of the total Project Expenditure.
- High significance project which in line with national priorities may get allocation of up to Tk.1 crore. (Tk.one crore).
- Word count limit is 1500.
- Article 4.1.1, page 9 & 10 and Annex III, page 60 of the BAS-USDA Operation Manual. (download the manual from this link : https://www.bas.org.bd/bas-usda/usda-operation-manial).
- Must mention the name of the Research Field at the top of the first page of the project proposal.
