University of Skill Enrichment & Technology Celebrated Golden Jubilee of Independence

The Golden Jubilee celebration of Bangladesh Independence has been held festively at University of Skill Enrichment and Technology (USET) with a series of events including a virtual discussion meeting.

The celebration program got underway at 10 a.m. with the hoist of national flag by Prof. Dr. Mahbubur Rahman, Dean of faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and singing of national Anthem. It was led by university Vice-Chancellor (designate) Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mottalib and attended by faculty members of different departments including Associate Professor & Acting Head of the Department of Business Administration Md. Kamrul Hasan, Assistant Registrar MRH Khan Salman, Lecturer Md. Selim Husen, Ms. Kaniz Fatema, Ms. Maheli Ahmed and other officials and students.

Independence Day Celebration At USET

The second part of the celebration program, held later, was joined virtually from Australia by USET founder and Board of Trustees chairperson Prof. Dr. Moazzem Hossain, other members of Board of Trusts, Chief Guest Dr. Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Special Guest Dr. Khaled Shawkat Ali, Chairperson of 71 Foundation, faculty members, students and staff among others.

Earlier in the morning, university founder Chairperson Prof. Dr. Moazzem Hossain had paid tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. Professor Hossain remembered them with due honors and dignity and at the same time requested current generation to learn the real history of the liberation war and uphold it for generations. All the other attendees stood in silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the martyrs.
