American businessman Andy Jassy (53) is set to become new Chief Executive Officer of e-commerce giant Amazon Inc. as the current boss founder Jeff Bezos has announced that he would retire from the role later this year.
As per the announcement on February 2, Jassy will take up the new role in the third quarter of this year while Bezos will move and act as Executive Chairman at the company.
Harvard graduate Jassy is not a newcomer to Amazon as he is the current chief executive of the company’s cloud-computing business Amazon Web Services (AWS). He joined the company in 1997 as a marketing manager. In 2003, he founded Amazon Web Services.
Later In April 2016, he was promoted from senior vice president to the chief executive of the services. That means he already has a stronghold in Amazon.
Besides being involved with Amazon, Jassy is the chairman of Rainier Prep, a charter school in Seattle.

According to Wikipedia, he has an estimated net worth is $377 million as of November 2020.
Personal Life :
In 1997, Jassy tied the knot with Elana Rochelle Caplan, a fashion designer for Eddie Bauer, a clothing company based in Washington. They live in Seattle with two children.
