More and more people continue to die from the novel coronavirus in the USA as there are now about 69k fatalities in the country. According to Johns Hopkins University, USA now has at least 681,180,288 cases of infections with 2,247 new cases and 1,240 deaths recorded on May 4 alone local time.
The figures include cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other US territories, as well as repatriated cases.

Meantime, a new research model forecasts that at least 134,000 people would die of the virus in the USA which is a bit higher than the figure 100k that President Donald Trump said in a Fox News Town hall interview on May 3.
Globally the coronavirus, officially known as Covid-19, has infected more than 3.5 million people including at least 251,000 deaths, according to the University. Source : CNN
