Webinar On Blue Economy Prospect In Bay Held At Northern University

A webinar titled ‘The Future of Blue Economy in the Bay of Bengal’ was organized by the Bangladesh Institute of International Higher Studies at the Northern University of Bangladesh (NUB), one of the emerging private higher education providers in the country.

Presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, the webinar was moderated by Prof. Dr. Kazi Shahadat Kabir while Dr. Muhammad Mehedi Masud was the Keynote Speaker.

The webinar had a comprehensive discussion on the prospects of blue economy towards the development of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In partnership with Techno India University, West Bengal, Northern University Bangladesh is going to organize a Summit with focus on Blue Economy this February. The online seminar was a part of this greater initiative.

It should be noted that Dr. Masud is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Development Studies, Faculty of Economics and Administration at the University of Malaya, Malaysia. He already had several publications and more than 50 scientific articles in internationally known journals in the field of sustainable development.
