Northern University Held Event On Self Branding

Northern University Bangladesh’s Business School on October 30 organized a Facebook live event titled ‘Leveraging Self Branding through Social Media’.

At the programme, Head of Marketing at the country’s leading English Daily The Daily Star, Md. Tajdin Hassan and Rafeed Chowdhury, author & Head of Product at Torun, shared their thoughts & insights about self-branding on social media.

Assistant Professor Ms. Benazir Rahman did the moderation for the session.

Mr. Hassan emphasized his words on what self-branding is and finding the thin line between self-bragging and self-branding.

He said, ‘personal branding is the most unique asset and the most powerful marketing tool that one can utilize for his or her edge over others.’

The other discussant Mr. Rafeed highlighted his speech on the opportunities that personal branding can create for anyone.

As he opined, ‘building up a personal brand has a host of of benefits, both personally and professionally, and it can help open many doors in the future.’ ‘But for that, we have to start with the very basic foundation’, added he.

Throughout the session, Mr. Rafeed mentioned all the tricks and techniques of shaping self branding through social media that students can find useful for themselves.
