JU (Jahangirnagar University) Professional Masters in IT admission circular for Summer 2024 is open with application deadline April 17, 2024. As per the circular, admission test will take place at 10 am on April 19, 2024.
The one-year Masters in IT Program is offered by the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), JU.
IIT-JU Masters in IT Admission Requirements :
Interested students with CGPA minimum 2.50 on a scale of 4.0 or second class in any of the following disciplines are eligible for application :
- Four year bachelor degree Or three year honors plus one (1) year Master’s in CS/CE/CSE/ECS/CIT/IT/ICT/Software Engineering Or
- Four year BSc in EEE/ECE/ETE or equivalent degree (Pre-requisite courses are required) Or
- Four year Engineering or Honors (Or three year Honors/Pass plus one year Masters) in any subject with one year PGD In CS/CE/CSE/ ECS/CIT/IT/ICT/Software Engineering. Or
- Four year BSc (Or three year Honors/Pass plus one year Masters) in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Statistics/Geological Sciences/Environmental Sciences or equivalent degree.

IIT-JU Masters in IT Program Features :
The duration of the program is one year (3 trimesters) with total 36 credit hours for regular batch while it is 16 months (4 trimesters) with total 48 credit hours for pre-requisite batch.
Classes will take place only on weekends with transport facilities available to and from Dhaka city.
Notably, there are scholarship opportunity for top 5% students based on their semester results.
IIT-JU PMIT Admission Test 2024 Date :
As mentioned above, the admission test will take place at 10 am at IIT, JU on April 19, 2024.
Admission Test Method :
Admission test consists of 60 marks MCQ type questions involving basic math (25 marks), basic ICT (25 marks) and English (10 marks). The duration of the test is one (1) hour.
