Covid-19 : US Sees Over 50k New Cases For 3 Straight Days

The United States, worst hit by the novel coronavirus, has seen over 50k new coronavirus cases for three straight days from July 1-3. That jump in cases comes amidst the warning from infectious Disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci that the country could witness about 100k cases in a day in future if people refuge to wear face masks, particularly in public.
According to Johns Hopkins University, the country reported over 53k new infections on July 2. The previous day, the number of new cases confirmed were over 51k. The country confirmed at least 51,842 new cases on July 3 which marked the third straight day that saw over 50k new cases in a single day.
With the figure logged on July 3, there are now at least 2,793,435 cases of the virus in the USA, as per the university tally. The death toll from the virus now stands at minimum 129,434 in the country. Source : CNN
