Applications are invited from eligible Bangladeshi nationals for the UGC Commonwealth Scholarships 2023 in the UK for Master’s and Doctoral (PhD) levels study. The last date to apply in prescribed form is October 12, 2022.

Notably, applicants must mention the name of the scholarship (Commonwealth Scholarships 2023 in the UK) and preferred category of the scholarship on the top of the envelope.

Commonwealth Scholarships Study Category :

The scholarship is on offer for higher study in the United Kingdom in two categories : 1. One year Taught Master’s (MS) Course and 2. Doctoral (PhD) degree of up to three years.

Commonwealth Scholarships Subject Themes :

The recipients of the UGC Commonwealth Scholarships 2023 will be able to do their preferred courses in the following six fields or themes :

1. Science & Technology for Development 2. Strengthening Health Systems and Capacity 3. Promoting Global Prosperity 4. Strengthening Global Peace, Security and Governance 5. Strengthening Resilience and Response to Crises and 6. Access, Inclusion and Opportunity.

Requirements for Commonwealth Scholarships 2023:

For Master’s Program :

1. Holding a first degree (Honors) of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard/CGPA Or a second class degree (2:2) honors standard/CGPA
2. Having a relevant Post-graduate Master’s degree as well (Terminal Degree) in the same condition.
   

For Doctoral (PhD) Program :

One needs to meet the following conditions to be eligible for application :

1. Holding a first degree (Honors) of at least upper second class (2:1) honors standard/CGPA Or a second class degree (2:2) honors standard/CGPA
2. Also having a relevant Post-graduate Master’s degree (Terminal Degree) in the same condition. For more, one needs to see the UGC Commonwealth Scholarships 2022 in the UK Circular provided at the end of this article.

Attention : Applicants must mention their Broad Subject which means they have to mention the subject on which they have secured their first degree such as Honors/Bachelors/Terminal Degree (Master’s).

Papers To Be Attached with Application Form :

Applicants need to submit the following documents with their application forms :

1. Attested copies of all academic certificates.
2. Attested copies of mark sheets of all examinations they passed.
3. Result sheets of IELTS Test (if any).
4. One copy of passport size attested photograph.

Here to note that the authority will automatically reject any incomplete or faulty applications.
