BSc in Textile Engineering Course admission circular for year 2020-21 at seven govt. textile engineering colleges is published. Application process begins from June 1 and will continue till July 8, 2021.
The seven government textile engineering colleges in the country are run by Department of Textiles (DoT) and affiliated with Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX). Admission will be made into BSc in Textile Engineering Course for first year (level-1) for the academic year.
Requirements : Aspiring students need to meet the following conditions to be eligible for application :
a. SSC (Science) or equivalent exam passing year 2017/2018 and HSC Science or equivalent exam passing year 2019/2020.
b. GPA minimum 3.5 in both SSC and HSC exams from Science Group. Besides, accumulated GPA or grade point in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English in HSC must be min 15 and Grade point in each of the subjects must be min 3.0 in HSC level exams.
c. For GCE ‘O’ & ‘A’ level candidates, average grade must be ‘B’ involving at least 5 papers in ‘O’ level exam and min ‘B’ grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in ‘A’ level examination. For details, applicants from English Medium background must see the admission circular.

Application Period : SMS application process is getting underway from 10 a.m. June 1. The last date and time to apply is 12 p.m. July 8, 2021.
Admission Test Date : The test is scheduled to be held from 10 to 11:20 a.m. on July 17, 2021.
Publication of List of Selected Candidates : The result is scheduled to be out within July 19. The result will be made available at the websites of Department of Textiles and the seven textile engineering colleges.
Admission Test Method : Admission test will have 200 marks MCQ type questions involving Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English. Of the 200 marks, 60 marks will be for Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics each and 20 for English.
There will be 100 questions in total with each carrying 2 marks. It should be noted that for each negative answer, there will be a deduction of 0.50 marks.
