Applications for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals, a brand new scholarship program funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden & administered by Swedish Institute, are now underway.
The last date to apply online for the scholarship is January 15, 2021.
The scholarship is fully funded by the Swedish government for international students from 42 countries to attend master’s degree programs in Sweden.
The scholarship program, formerly known as Swedish Institute Study Scholarships (SISS), offers a unique opportunity for global professionals to develop professionally and academically, to experience Swedish society and culture, and to build a long-lasting relationship with Sweden and with each other.
The scholarship is offered for full-time one-year or two-year master’s programs and is only awarded for programs starting in the autumn semester.
Eligibilities : Interested individuals need to demonstrate the following requirements to be eligible for application :
1. Having a minimum of 3,000 hours of demonstrated employment.
2. Being liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities, following the steps of university admission, and being admitted into one of the eligible master’s programs by 9 April 2021.
3. Demonstration of leadership experience from current or previous employment.
4. Being a citizen of a country that is eligible for the scholarship program.
Eligible Regions or Countries : Individuals from the following 42 countries are eligible to apply for the scholarship :
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Belarus, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Moldova, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Vietnam, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Application Procedure : A complete application for the scholarship must consist of Motivation letter, CV, Letters of reference, Valid and completed proof of work and leadership experience and Copy of valid passport. To note, any application short of any of the above document will be disqualified.
