Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam on October 1 formally joined Northern University Bangladesh, one of the emerging private universities in the country, as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor (Designate).
On the occasion, an event was held where the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain cordially welcomed and accepted the new Pro-VC to the University.
Prior to joining Northern University, Dr. Islam performed his duties with reputation and efficiency at multiple universities including Khulna University, BRAC University, North-South University, East-West University and Eastern University in the country.
Most recently, he served as Pro-VC and Dean of School of Business at Canadian University of Bangladesh. Prof. Islam also worked as a teacher, researcher and administrative leader with a host of local & international educational organizations.
Prof. Dr. Islam thanked Professor Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah, Honorable Chairman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust and Vice Chancellor of Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna for getting him as Pro-Vice Chancellor (D).
Northern University Treasurer Professor Dr. Mohammad Ekramol Islam, IT Director Saad-Al-Zabir Abdullah, Deans, Heads of various departments, teachers among others were present at the program.
