Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issues a circular regarding MBBS student admission into private medical colleges in Bangladesh for academic year 2022-23.
As per the circular, students who secured places up to position 34,835 on National Merit List will be eligible to apply for admission into private medical colleges in the country.
Private medical college admission process will begin upon completion of admission of students into public medical colleges from second waiting list. To this end, DGHS will issue a circular in due course of time.

Students who secured places on the National Merit List out of the exam held on March 10, 2023 will have to apply through the following link at :
To note, the fee for application is Tk.1000 only.
DGHS Directives for authorities of Private Medical Colleges :
The authorities will have to maintain the following directives, among others, while enrolling students :
- Keeping proof of students who will be applying under poor but meritorious quota. Otherwise, such applications will be considered invalid. Here note that 5 percent seats are reserved for poor but meritorious students at private medical colleges.
- Enrolling students by properly maintaining MBBS student Admission Guidelines 2023 made by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC). Otherwise, the concerned college may face the risk of cancellation of registration.
Attention : MBBS Course admission test for academic year was held back on March 10 where some 1 lakh 40 thousands took part. Of the total examinees, about 50 thousand have become successful in the test held under the close coordination of Directorate General of Health Services.
