The Payra Port Authority (PPA) opens a career opportunity for qualified persons to be employed for 11 posts. Online application begins November 28, 2021.

The port authority invites application from qualified Bangladeshi nationals to fill up the vacant positions.

PPA Vacancy Landscape :

As mentioned earlier, there are 11 vacant posts in total in line the PPA job circular which are the followings :

1. Assistant Director (Ship & Yard, 1 post) 2. Assistant Director (Accounts, 1 post) 3. Assistant Director (Audit, 1 post)
2. Personal Secretary (PS, 1 post) 5.Pharmacist (1 post) 6. Traffic Inspector (1 post) 7. Senior Accounts Assistant (1 post) 8. Ucchha External-Assistant (1 post) and 9. Office Assistant cum Computer Typist (3 posts).

PPA Job Requirements :

Job seekers need to meet the following requirements to be eligible for application :

For Assistant Director (Ship & Yard) Post : Having first class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-Graduation or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation (honors) or equivalent degree

Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university or institution.

Candidates with expertise in Cargo Handling Operation and Shipping will receive priorities in landing jobs.

However, applicants with expertise working in Government/Semi-government/Autonomous/Non-government organizations will get five years of relaxation when it comes to age requirements.

For Assistant Director (Accounts) Post : First class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-Graduation or equivalent degree
Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation (honors) or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-graduation or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance/Marketing/Business Management/Economics
from a recognized university or institution.

Or MBA or equivalent degree with Accounting/Finance as Major from a recognized university. However, candidates with CA or CMA certificate will receive preference in securing jobs.

For Assistant Director (Audit) Post : The same as that for the post of Assistant Director (Accounts). And age needs to be maximum 30 years.

For Personal Secretary Post : Having first class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-Graduation or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation (honors) or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university. And age not exceeding 30 years.

For Pharmacist Post : Three or four year long Diploma Certificate obtained from Pharmacy Council plus three years’ of experiences in related field. And age 35 years to the highest.

For Traffic Inspector Post : Graduation or equivalent degree from a known university with five years’ of experiences in relevant field. But candidates with expertise in English & Bangla typing will enjoy priorities in getting jobs. Age needs to be maximum 40 years.

For Senior Accounts Assistant Post : Graduation or equivalent degree from a known university with three years’ of experiences in relevant field. But candidates with expertise in English & Bangla typing will enjoy priorities in getting jobs. Age needs to be maximum 35 years.

For Ucchha External Assistant Post : Graduation or equivalent degree from a known university But candidates with expertise in English & Bangla typing will enjoy priorities in getting jobs. Age needs to be maximum 30 years.

For Office Assistant cum Computer Typist Post : HSC or equivalent level with knowledge on Word Processing & Data Entry and typing speed being minimum 20 words per minute in both Bangla & English. And age should not above 30 years.

As mentioned already, online application process is set to begin from 10 am November 28. And the last date and time to apply is 5 pm December 27, 2021.

Job Application Fee :

The fee for online application varies from post to post. It is Tk.300 for the posts under serial number 1 to 5
while it is Tk.100 for the posts under serial number 6 to 9.

Applicants need to submit the application fee by SMS through any Teletalk Prepaid mobile number within 72 hours of application submission (Applicable to those who will meantime receive User ID post application).
