Payra Port Authority (PPA) opens a job circular to fill up seven (7) posts including Assistant Director, Deputy-Assistant Engineer (Civil) etc. Online application begins December 17 and ends on December 30, 2023.  

Payra Port Authority Vacancy In Details : 

As per the circular, the authority will recruit people in the following positions : 

1. Assistant Director (1 post) 2. Deputy-Assistant Engineer (Civil, 1 post) 3. Security Officer (1 post) 4. Traffic Inspector (1 post) 5. Land Surveyor (2 post) 6. Office Assistant (1 post). 

Payra Port Authority Job Requirements : 

Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application against their post of choice :

Assistant Director Post : LLB Degree along with post-graduation or equivalent degree in any subject obtained from any recognized university Or LLM Degree. 

Deputy-Assistant Engineer : Diploma in Civil Engineering with second class or equivalent CGPA obtained from any known university or institute.

Traffic Inspector : Bachelor or equivalent degree obtained from any known university along with five (5) years of experiences. However, those with experiences in Bengali & English typing will receive priority in landing the job.

Job Application Fee :

The fee for  application varies from post to post. For the post under serial number 1, the fee is Tk.669 (with service charge), for the posts under serial number 2, it is Tk.558, for post under serial no. 3, Tk.335, for post under serial no. 4 & 5, Tk. 223 and for post under serial no. 6, it is Tk.112 with service charge. 
while it is Tk.100 for the posts under serial number 6 to 9.

PPA Job Requirements :

Job seekers need to meet the following requirements to be eligible for application :

Assistant Director (Ship & Yard) Post : Having first class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-Graduation or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation (honors) or equivalent degree

Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university or institution.

Candidates with expertise in Cargo Handling Operation and Shipping will receive priorities in landing jobs.

However, applicants with expertise working in Government/Semi-government/Autonomous/Non-government organizations will get five years of relaxation when it comes to age requirements.

Assistant Director (Accounts) Post : First class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-Graduation or equivalent degree
Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation (honors) or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-graduation or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance/Marketing/Business Management/Economics
from a recognized university or institution.

Or MBA or equivalent degree with Accounting/Finance as Major from a recognized university. However, candidates with CA or CMA certificate will receive preference in securing jobs.

 Assistant Director (Audit)  : The same as that for the post of Assistant Director (Accounts). And age needs to be maximum 30 years.

Personal Secretary Post : Having first class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-Graduation or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) graduation (honors) or equivalent degree Or second class (or equivalent CGPA) Post-graduation or equivalent degree from a recognized university. And age not exceeding 30 years.

Pharmacist Post : Three or four year long Diploma Certificate obtained from Pharmacy Council plus three years’ of experiences in related field. And age 35 years to the highest.

Traffic Inspector Post : Graduation or equivalent degree from a known university with five years’ of experiences in relevant field. But candidates with expertise in English & Bangla typing will enjoy priorities in getting jobs. Age needs to be maximum 40 years.

Senior Accounts Assistant Post : Graduation or equivalent degree from a known university with three years’ of experiences in relevant field. But candidates with expertise in English & Bangla typing will enjoy priorities in getting jobs. Age needs to be maximum 35 years.

Ucchha External Assistant Post : Graduation or equivalent degree from a known university But candidates with expertise in English & Bangla typing will enjoy priorities in getting jobs. Age needs to be maximum 30 years.

Office Assistant cum Computer Typist Post : HSC or equivalent level with knowledge on Word Processing & Data Entry and typing speed being minimum 20 words per minute in both Bangla & English. And age should not above 30 years.
