You are currently in financial debts? Then payback it as soon as possible as a new study shows that repaying debts helps brain make better decisions with regard to finance, think clearly and reduce anxiety, reports Mail Online.
The research is carried out by Social Service Research Centre at the National University of Singapore. The findings of it has been published in the journal Proceedings, a paper of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA.
To do the study, researchers made a survey involving 200 low income people with debts. The participants were assessed in the areas of their financial decision making skills and anxiety.
In doing that, their debts were partially paid off. Then over a period of time, it has been found that debt relief has helped decreasing their mental burden and reducing anxiety among other things.
According to researchers, this fact has helped the participants think more clearly and make better financial decisions.
