NSU Job Circular for Pro-VC Post : Application Deadline June 20

North South University (NSU) invites applications from highly qualified professionals for the post of Pro-Vice Chancellor. The deadline to apply is June 20, 2023.

Notably, the appointment is subject to the approval of the honorable Chancellor (the President of the country) and has tenure of four (4) years.

Application Requirements for NSU Pro-VC Position :

Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application for the post of Pro-VC :

1. First class or equivalence in both Bachelor’s & Master’s level and a PhD from any acclaimed university, both home and abroad.
2. Minimum fifteen (15) years of experiences in academic, administrative and research areas with minimum ten (10) years of teaching experiences at university level.
3. Those with international academic experiences with any reputed university will receive priority in securing the job.
4. Considerable experience of working in a senior administrative position such as Dean, Chair etc. at a reputable university with proven & outstanding leadership quality.

Duties/Responsibilities as NSU Pro-VC :

Selected candidate in the role of Pro-VC needs to carry out the following tasks, among other unspecified things :

1. Managing teaching & learning activities at NSU with highly standard manners.
2. Leading academic planning and helping set academic values, policies and practices.
3. Delivering guidance to and managing performance of the Deans of the various schools at the university.
4. Managing student-centric affairs such as clubs, student events etc.
5. Acting as a member and chairing various committees as assigned by the authority.
6. Monitoring the activities of the Medical Center, Pathology Lab and Student Welfare Center.

Salary & Benefits for NSU Pro-VC Position :

Though the amount of monthly salary is not mentioned in the circular, the university authority will provide the selected candidate with a competitive & attractive compensation package on the basis of his or her academic background and experiences.
