Northern University Bangladesh, one of the emerging private universities in the country, organized a ‘Spelling Bee Competition’ involving university students on December 22. Some 180 students from different universities in the country participated in the competition.
As winners, top three contestants received attractive prizes and top 20 participants got E-certificates as recognition.
Prize giving ceremony of the contest styled ‘NUB Spelling Bee Compilation-2020’ was later held on December 28 at the Corporate Office of the University situated at Banani in the Capital.
Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain was present at the event as Chief Guest.
Professor Dr. Nazrul Islam, Pro-Vice Chancellor (D), Professor Dr. Anwarul Karim, Executive Director, BRC, Professor Dr. (Lt. Col) Sarder Mahmud Hossain, Registrar Commodore M Manirul Islam (Retd.), were present as special guests on the occasion.
Mohammad Jashim Uddin, Head, Department of English chaired the session. Besides, Deans, Departmental Heads, Teachers and Administrative officers of the university also attended the program.
