Northern University Bangladesh Held a Seminar on Malaysia-Bangladesh Relations

Northern University Bangladesh (NUB), an emerging private university in the country, held a seminar titled ‘Revisiting Malaysia-Bangladesh Relations : In pursuit of a New Era of Mutual Prospects’ in partnership with International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and International Islamic University Malaysia Alumni Bangladesh Chapter (IIUMABC). The seminar took place on this December 5 at Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

At the seminar, the keynote speaker was Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah, Chairman, NUB Trust, also a Professor at IBA, Dhaka University.  Among other discussants were Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Hossain, Department of Political Science, IIUM and Prof. Dr. Kazi Shahdat Kabir, Registrar, NUB & President, IIUM Alumni BD Chapter. Prof. Dr. Nor Faridah Bt. Abdul Manaf, Deputy Rector Internationalization and Global Network, IIUM was the moderator of the seminar.

The key discussion points of the seminar were strategic partnership, trade relationship and foreign direct investment between Bangladesh and Malaysia. Students of IIUM, Alumni of IIUM, faculty, staff and many other guests were present at the seminar.
