NHRC (National Human Rights Commission) opens a job circular to recruit people for 17 posts in 9 categories. The last date to apply was 5 pm May 30. And the written test is scheduled to take place on July 29, 2023.

As per the circular, the authority will make recruitment for the following positions :

  1. Assistant Director (Admin & Finance, 1 post) 2. Assistant Director (Complaints & Investigation, 3 post) 3. Assistant Director (Social Services & Counselling, 1 post) 4. Assistant Director (Training, 1 post) 5. Assistant Director (Information Technology, 1 post) 6. Assistant Director (Research, 1 post) 7. Assistant Director (Law, 1 post) 8. Assistant Director (7 posts) 9. Public Relations Officer (1 post).

NHRC Job Application Requirements :

Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application against their position of choice :

For Assistant Director (Admin & Finance) Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in Business Administration or Commerce related subjects from any recognized university. Maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable involving whole academic life plus having training in computer operation.

For Assistant Director (Complaints & Investigation) Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in the field of Law from any recognized university. Maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable involving whole academic life plus having training in computer operation.

NHRC Job Circular 2023 In Brief For Assistant Director (Social Services & Counselling) Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in Social Science/Psychology/Social Welfare from any recognized university. Maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable throughout academic life.

For Assistant Director (Training) Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in Social Science/ Law/Social Welfare from any recognized university. Maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable involving whole academic life plus having training in computer operation.

For Assistant Director (ICT) Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering/Physics/Mathematics/Statistics from any recognized university.

In addition, skills in hardware and software affairs. Notably, maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable involving whole academic life.

For Assistant Director (Research) Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in the field of Law from any recognized university.

 

Maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable throughout academic life plus skills or training in computer operation.

For Assistant Director (Law) Post :

The same as what is for the post of Assistant Director (Research).

For Assistant Director Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in any subjects from any recognized university. Maximum one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable throughout academic life plus skills or training in computer operation.

For Public Relations Officer Post :

Second class (or equivalent CGPA) four-year bachelor (honors) degree or second class (or equivalent CGPA) post-graduation in Mass Communication & Journalism/International Relations/Media Studies from any recognized university.

Here note that one third class/division or equivalent CGPA is acceptable throughout academic life plus skills or training in computer operation.

Age Requirements (Applicable to All Positions) :

Applicants’ age must be minimum 18 years as on April 30, 2023 and maximum 30 years. However, for applicants under Freedom Fighter Quota (son or daughter and grandchildren of freedom fighters or martyred freedom fighters), age limit is 32 years to the highest.
