MBBS first year admission circular for academic year 2023-2024 is open with admission test results out now. Earlier admission test took place on February 9 preceded by application period January 11 to 23.
According to a notice from the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), successful candidates will have to complete admission from February 18 to 24, 2024. For details, they need to see the below notice :

How to Get MBBS Results By SMS?
Examinees can get the result through SMS by the following way :
Write : MBBS Space Admission Test Roll Number. Then send it to 16222.
Notably, the government has decided to increase MBBS seats by one thousand thirty (1,030) which will come into from the academic year of 2023-24. With that, the total number of seats in government medical colleges in the country now stands at five thousand three hundreds eighty (5,380).

MBBS Admission 2024 Requirements :
Aspirants need to meet the following conditions, among others, to be eligible for application :
1. GPA minimum 9.00 from SSC & HSC results combined.
2. SSC & HSC combined GPA minimum 8.00 for tribal and non-tribal Hill tracts candidates. However, GPA must be minimum 3.50 in either of the exam.
3. CGPA not less than 3.5 in any single public exam.
4. Biology grade must be min 4.00 in HSC/A-Level or equivalent exam, applicable to all types of candidates.
5. HSC/A-Level or equivalent level passing year in 2023 or 2022 and SSC/O-Level or equivalent level passing year must be in 2021 or 2020. Notably, aspirants must have passed SSC/O-Level or equivalent level within the previous two years of HSC/A-level passing year.
6. SSC/O-Level or equivalent level must be in science group as regular students and HSC/A-Level or equivalent in science group as well with Biology, Chemistry & Physics.

As mentioned above, online application process begins at 10 am January 11. And the last date and time to apply is 11:59 pm January 23, 2024.
Application Fee :
The application fee is Tk.1000 which applicants need to pay by SMS through any Teletalk prepaid mobile number. The last time to pay the fee is 11:59 pm January 24, 2024.
Admit Cards :
Applicants can download their admit cards from February 5 to 7, 2024. Notably, examinees must carry printed color copy of admit cards to the exam venue.

MBBS Admission Test 2024 Method :
According to the circular, the test method for academic year 2023-24 remains the same as the previous years. In other words, the tests will have 200 marks in total. Of the marks, 100 marks will come from MCQ Test and the rest 100 from SSC & HSC exam results combined. The written test pass mark is minimum 40.
Notably, for second timers, there will be a reduction of five (5) marks from their overall scores. However, for those in-study with any government medical college or dental college or unit, there will be a reduction of ten (10) marks from the overall score.
