As per the circular, successful candidates from the written test will be able to enroll into all maritime institutions in the country including Bangladesh Marine Academy.
Marine Cadet Admission Requirements :
Admission aspirants need to meet the following requirements, among others, to be eligible for application :
1. Age maximum 22 as on December 31, 2023, applicable to both male and female.
2. Minimum GPA 3.50, First class or average 60 percent marks in both SSC & HSC exams in Science Group; First Class or 60% marks or GPA-3.5 in HSC exams with Physics and Mathematics; 60% marks in both Mathematics & Physics and min 50% marks in English in HSC exams; If any aspirant has less than 50 % or GPA below 3.0 in HSC English, then they must demonstrate IELTS Band Score Min 5.5.
3. Height 5 foot 4 inch for male and for female, 5 foot 2.
4. Weight must be according to WHO BMI Chart (BMI minimum 17 and maximum 27. Like if height is 5 foot 4 inch, then weight 45-71 kg and if height 5 foot 6 inch, then weight 48 to 76 kg).
5. Eyesight : For nautical Cadet, it is 6/6 and for Engineering Cadet, it is 6/12 (must be 6/6 with spectacles on).
6. Unmarried, applicable to both men and women and Bangladeshi citizens.

Marine Cadet Admission Test Method :
The authority will assess aspirants on a test of 300 marks in total. Of them, 100 marks will go for MCQ Type written test with 200 questions and the rest 200 for SSC (75 marks,15 fold of SSC GPA) and HSC results (125 Marks, 25 fold of secured GPA).
One hundred (100) marks written test will consist of 4 subjects—25 marks for Physics, 25 for Mathematics, 20 for English, 15 for General knowledge and 15 marks for Bangla.
The test will have 200 questions in total. The minimum pass mark for the test is 40%.
