Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) M.Phil, Ph.D Programs admission Circular for 2021-2022 academic year has been published. The last date to submit application form to respective departments is this September 22, 2021.

Requirements For JUST M.Phil Program Admission :

Aspirants need to demonstrate the following qualities to be eligible for application for admission into M.Phil program :

1. Having Master’s or an equivalent degree in the relevant subject or fields, earned from JUST or any recognized university.
2. Having at least second class Honors Degree with 50 pc marks in total or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 and second class Master’s degree with 50 pc marks or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0. In case of Degree Pass level, candidates must have one first class or CGPA 3.5 out of 4.0 either at Degree Pass course or Master’s level.
3. Having MBBS degree with 50 pc marks in total or CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0.
   

Requirements For JUST Ph.D Program Admission :

Aspirants need to meet the following conditions to be eligible for application for admission into Ph.D program :

1. Having Master’s degree or an equivalent degree secured from JUST or any recognized university in related field or subject. In addition, having a strong academic record with not less than 55 pc marks (50 pc for English) or CGPA 3.25 out of 4.0, both in Honors and Master’s degree and holding minimum two years of teaching or research experiences in any known institution.

2. Those having four years Honors degree with MS or M.Sc Degree can get enrolled directly to Ph.D program.

3. Candidates with M.Phil degree earned from any familiar university will be eligible for admission into this program.

4. Teachers of JUST or any other university who do not meet the condition mentioned in clause 1 will be eligible to apply for admission into Ph.D program. It should be noted that they must have minimum two years of teaching experiences in any recognized university and minimum two (2) research publications in the field of their research interest in any standard academic journals.

M.Phil Program Disciplines : Individuals can do full-time M.Phil program with the following departments : Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Microbiology, Fisheries and Marine Bioscience (FMB), Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEBT), Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE), Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME), Nutrition and Food Technology (NFT), Pharmacy (Pharm), Mathematics and English.

One can study Full time Ph.D program with these departments : Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Microbiology, Fisheries and Marine Bioscience (FMB), Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEBT), Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE), Petroleum and Mining Engineering (PME), Nutrition and Food Technology (NFT), Pharmacy (Pharm), Mathematics and English.

Application Process : Interested eligible individuals need to collect application form for their preferred program from the respective departments. The filled up form must be submitted along with attested mark sheet & the certificates of all academic qualifications, three passport size color photographs, one (1) set of research proposal/synopsis. To note, service holders or employees must attach written permission letter issued from the respective authority.

Application Fee : The application fee for M.Phil program is Tk. 500 while it is Tk. 1000 for Ph.D program.
